When your sailing a ship without a crew, is it possible to upgrade the shot type to flaming cannonballs etc? The higher level ships have the two type of shot, regular balls and the second type of shot either flaming or lightning.

Can we do that as solo captains?:psmiley22:

I don't think so... good suggestion though. That will be fun when we can customize our ships.

Yes, you just have to work on building your cannon skills. A good way to do that is park your ship outside of a busy port; launch ship, go directly to cannons (do not sail first) and blast away at whatever gets close until you can sink them.

I do this on all my characters to build cannon points. There's a chance they'll fight back and sink you, but it's rare while doing it this way from my exp.

Not with broadsides, those shots you're talking about are cannon skills.

I'm going to try Silly Princess' technique and see if I can upgrade my cannon skills lol I'm still a level 4 on open :p

Ooohh i thought the flaming stuff was cannon only...guess i didn't get far enough lol.
