Dagger Quest: Silver Ingots & Rods

Okay :( so I'm starting to feel POTC challenged...I've been *trying* to aquire the dagger and all was going fine and well until they wanted me to sink some Level 7+ EITC ships. Well...ok I have sunk them...lots of them and none of them are searching for the ingots and rods... I've even made it my current quest and gone sinking EITC ships...but yet there is no search for them therefore...I don't get any. And I'm stumped :/ Is this a glitch I should report or am I terribly missing something?

I think they either can't be sloops or they can't be light ships.

Hm, lol I've sank so many ships in general (EITC and Navy) and it's late at night I can't recall if I sank a bigger..ETIC ship, I shall try it now :/

:/ I just sank like a Level 18 or something big sloop and nothing happened. It says Level 7+... why do I need to attack the ones in their 20s...

I think it's a bug right now, unfortunately. I've been sinking EITC ships for 2 days just for that quest and I've had no luck. Everything from level 7 up to the teens. I've had other quests requiring EITC ships and those have advanced while my dagger quest remains stuck. It's frustrating and I've just been focusing on Greer's many flaws for now.

Well look on the positive side guys, at least your advancing your cannon and sailing skills. :D

I had the same problem and yes, I also thought it was some kind of bug in the game. For some reason you don't get the quest items on lvl 7 ships. You have to sink at least lvl 10s. They can be found near Cuba (or at least that's where I found them) and I only had to sink 3 to finish unlocking the dagger. Good Luck!!

Well, I'm glad someone else is having this problem and I'm not just going crazy, I shall report it on the bug page :/


Edit: Okay :( I'll keep trying, I did sink a Level 18 EITC last night and nothing happened though...I'll keep trying

Edit: Alright solved! :D Apparently a level 18 sloop doesn't count, you need to sink a light galleon or frig. I just sank a level 12 EITC light galleon and I finally got some of the ingots and rods :D Thanks to all of you that replied!

What I sank was a corvette (light) i think it was level (10-14). It can normally be found to the left when you leave tortuga ( a little past devils anvil) heading to the left of kingshead. hope this helps someone

on a side note: just becuase it says frigate or galleon, that normally does not mean it can't be a lighty frigate or a light galleon

Thanks for the help. This rings a bell from beta. I beat corvette's. I got the ingots first and then the rods. Only took four ships to do. Thanks!
