Boss Ships

This is just a pile-up of a few ideas for different types of boss ships, I suppose. I know none of this will be added into the game, but I suppose I could just state my ideas anyway.

Boss Ship Type 1: Regular Boss

This could just be like any Land boss, just ships. They would have more HP than the average version of the ship, and would deal slightly more damage.

Let's say a Navy Ferret has 1,200 HP (I know it really doesn't). A Navy Ferret Boss would have maybe double that - 2,400 HP.
This boss ship would be represented by a Flag symbol similar to a Flagship's, and would have a glowing red light around it, visible enough to be noticeable.
(This is the most likely idea to be madeinto the game, of the three I show)

Boss Ship Type 2: Battleship

This ship would be slightly larger than the regular ship (Think of a regular Navy War Frigate, and then the old Navy Goliath, for example). These ships would be a bit more rare than a regular boss ship, and can only be fought when you are Lv30 and higher, so as to avoid the new player fighting one of these.
The reason why the above should be needed is because these ships would only use Firebrand and Explosive. Depending on their level, and what the ship is, they would either use all Firebrand, a combination of Firebrand and Explosive, or all Explosive.
They would also have a different name title - something that isn't Navy or EITC. Maybe S.S. or HMS.
(Least likely to be brought into the game)

Boss Ship Type 3: Skeleton Ship

This boss ship would just be an undead version of the ship the boss is - I.E. Undead Ferret or something. Of course, this would require an Undead version of all the ships other than War Sloop and War Frigate.

Those are my ideas. Don't waste your time saying they will be unlikely to be put into the game, because I know that. However, feel free to post your ideas, suggestions, changes and such.

I like the idea... its really good actually. Boss ships would be nice, but they need to make sure that they are not as powerful as Treasure Fleet ships. Otherwise it would take an armada to sink just one. Also, they should all be flagships. This would make them even more of a challenge. Or at least the Battleships and Skeleton Ships.

Sort of unrelated, but I think that flagships should all have one boss on it. Like the captain of the ship.

Love the ideas!

I think the first one is really good and would be a great addition to the game if I had too chose between the 3 of them.

Wait... BINGO! what if the boss ships were flagships and instead of regular enemies on them, there were bosses!

I originally meant for the Battleship and Undead ship bosses to be Flagships, but I did not feel the regular Boss ship should be a flagship as it was just a basic Boss ship. The bosses-on-the-ship part, though, I agree on.

Thanks for the feedback and comments, though!

Well thought through, as always, and I've always thought it would be great if tougher ships, if not boss ships, were added to the game.

SEAKING23 01-04-2011 12:54 AM

I think the skeleton ships should only belong to jolly, because then he wouldn't have i dont like the first one, but maybe instead of the skull/glowing stuff it would be called an elite. like navy ferret: elite. other than that, its a great idea!

Even thought this is off-topic, i was thinking ships should be harder. its kinda lame that a lot of level 40's have max gold. Whats even lamers is that there nothing to spend it on.

We already have the Fleets and the Navy Bastion that only ever showed when the EITC Fleets were on Test. So, soon we'll have a Lv59-61 Navy War Galleon...
Patience.

Captain Jason 01-04-2011 01:39 AM

Good ideas mate! I like them!

SEAKING23 01-04-2011 03:23 AM

0_0 a level 59-61 war galleon? part of me thinks your full of    :beer::beer::beer::beer: the other is think about epic battles..
P.S what in grogs name is navy bastion?

CarribeanThunder 01-04-2011 03:40 AM

I should have clarified. The Navy Bastion IS the Lv59-61 Navy War Galleon. They spawned in place of Navy Panthers - because you would never see one during the time the Bastions showed.
They're just a stronger, higher leveled Navy Colossus. No major differences.
Screenshot for proof:

SEAKING23 01-04-2011 04:08 AM

Dang, do they give good plunder?

Tiberius Fireskull 01-04-2011 05:23 AM

Thats a nasty little mongrel ain't it? I'd love to see how it did against the Shadow King and my Sorcerors, hehe....

I wonder if they are going to add another level of powerful ships... even Juggernauts aren't that hard anymore... when I find them that is...

Jim seapaine 01-04-2011 02:52 PM

navy bastion...?

weird name lol

nice ideas! except for the S.S ships cuz it would take as many ships it takes to sink a treasure fleet because some on them you said shoot ONLY EXPLOSIVES? O_O

isnear 01-04-2011 09:29 PM

I get the uncomfortable feeling that Disney insiders are feeding these ideas into this forum...

Why do I think that?

Because you are asking for bigger problems with no thought of reward. Hello? Are you serious?

The way to do this properly is have another Treasure Map, where you take the Pearl into an area where there is a treasure fleet of flagships, and you have to board and beat each and every one, and thereafter you receive.... not a chicken, but say, a cool article of clothing that the whole crew receives, like solid colored shirts or pants or coats. If this battle is won, it should NOT give just gold and a few commons and rares... it should be significant.
