Should we space out the island more?

i think we should. it would give more mystery to island like ravens/tormenta thus making the game more fun. also, it would create space for new island. for those who want to get around easier, theirs always the TP system.

Hard to say. I do remember that early on Cuba was quite remote. They moved it closer though. Here's the thing. It would make the game more realistic, however, it would make it more difficult to sail from place to place. Example, if I want to go from Padres to Tormenta now, it will just take two or three minutes right? If we spaced it out, it could take maybe something like eight, and nobody wants to wait that long just to go train. It would also be harder for newbies, who just want to go along with their quest or something.

It could be inconvenient for some, but I personally would be fine either way.

it wouldn't take THAT long, maybe about 5-7 min., depending on how fast your ship is.

pieisbetter2 12-03-2010 04:52 AM

I don't know about you, but 5-7 minutes seems like longer then it should be.

While it may be nice for realism, it will only become annoying for us that train at Tormenta constantly.

Dog Firestack 12-03-2010 01:24 PM

No, extending sailing times just for realism is a waste of time and effort.

and if u spaced them out there might be more ships out there that want to sink u then!! u would never make it to the island u want u could be like half way there then BOOM! now when i sail some times i get fired on all the way over to the island i want to go to and if the traval was like twice as long.... well i dont think i would make it lol

Thats true, but what if they make a teleport system for tormenta or something like that?

Jack Sharkbane 12-14-2010 12:31 AM

...Yeah, available to those of the higher level, the only ones who can train there without getting slaughtered.

Tiberius Fireskull 12-14-2010 12:32 AM

Also, what purpose, other than realism, would spacing out the islands serve? I mean, it isn't like "Hey! I have to sail for five minutes to go train my doll! Five minutes that could easily be spent training! This is so fun!"

The Stealthy Pirate 12-14-2010 11:14 PM

You got a point there...

SEAKING23 12-15-2010 12:20 AM

I was thinking that it would keep noobs out of high level places like ravens or tormenta. when they see how close they are they think, oh it cant be that bad! so they board there light sloops and head there.

Tiberius Fireskull 12-15-2010 12:24 AM

My brother sailed to Padres when he was a level 8. Honestly, if someone is curious, they will explore.

Joshua Coalskull 12-15-2010 12:29 AM

True Seaking, and before some one says "Well why don't they just lock the islands to unlimited only or to peple over level 30?" Well...

1. All the Basics would complaine (Kingshead all over again):Pirate4:

2. It wouldn't be fare:sailr:

3. I like to watch the weaklings act like they know everything and get KO by a Rages Ghost
:laughks2::laughks2:
Of course I do revive them, yet they get KO again

SEAKING23 12-15-2010 12:31 AM

Good point.

Maybe enemy's should be more aggressive. i mean, if a EITC/Navy/Skeleton watches a pirate go by, he should attack him, right?

Oh and not to just keep noobs out of places, to add to the feeling of mystery to an island.
