Ship Glitch

Has this happnened to you? You are trying to hit a ship with cannon- and you do, but it just keeps on sailing no matter how many times you hit it! I don't know why it keeps happening. Any answers?

Actully I have had this happen to me before I sunk an enemy ship and a new one spawned next to me and I ran fixed my ship returned and fired my connon and the ship kept sailing.

This happened to me when taking control of Man-O-War Flagship. It Spawned near me and I crippled it in one broadside having critical Basic Round Shot. I went to grapple and reel it in, and it kept sailing.

It mostly happens to me when I am just taking on regular ships, not flagships
