PnC Future Quest Prologue
The Legend of the Shadow Serpent Clan Prologue Long ago, a deathly mysterious clan existed. This clan was known to be the terror of the high seas. No single pirate ship, no single armada or fleet could stop this group of destroyers. The greatest of the Navy and EITC Fleets, the EITC Conqueror and the HMS Invincible, even THEY feared this clan. All of its enemies bowed down to the great armada of the seas. No one has ever sunk a single ship of the clan, and many of them were traitors of the Navy, EITC, Undead, and even Pirates! This clan... The most feared of the high seas... It was known as... The Shadow Serpent Clan The Shadow Serpent Clan plundered the seas for centuries on end. They even carried the 7 Serpent Relics. One of those 7 was lost in battle, though, and was not seen again. This old clan could not be stopped, it was most definitely known. However, many years ago, the clan met an unknown fate. The great warships disappeared suddenly, and no one knows how, or why... It IS known, however, that a few of the Shadow Serpent Clan's ships remain at sea. The crew of these ships were given the light of eternal life. The Red Cobra Ship: Navy Kingfisher Story: A traitor of the Navy, it fled from the Royal Navy and began taking on piracy. It began attacking other Royal Navy ships, as well as EITC ships and the feared Skeleton ships. Its power was unstoppable. Months later, it was stopped by the furious Shadow Serpent Clan leader, The Shadow Cobra, as well as other ships of the clan. The crew of The Red Cobra was no match for the Shadow Serpent Clan's fierce might, and was soon thrown into the jailcells on board The Shadow Cobra's first mate ship, The Dark Cobra. The crew was, however, shown a sign of mercy, and the great Shadow Serpent Clan leader offered a chance to join into the clan or suffer death. The Red Cobra's crew had no choice, and joined. The crew, however, enjoyed the feeling of destroying other ships with an entire armada, and remained in battle. Details: This ship is known to flee from battle - no wonder it survived. It has never been hit due to it always fleeing. There is only one thing this ship truly fears - the great Death Omen. If the Red Cobra spots one, it WILL go for the kill. Serpent Relic: The Red Serpent Relic The Black Serpent Ship: EITC Warlord Story: The Black Serpent was an EITC Warlord who was very much unhappy with the formal ways of the Royal Navy and EITC. Turned into piracy, just as The Red Cobra had, it set off to destroy other Navy and EITC ships, but bothered not the Undead for fear of a curse being placed upon them. It met the same fate as The Red Cobra had, but the crew was not thrown into jail due to the power of the crew being realized by the Shadow Serpent Clan leader. They were easily brought into the clan, and became one of the highest ranks of the Shadow Serpent Clan. Details: Also known as, "The Black Dragon" of the Shadow Serpent Clan, its main strategy at sea was setting fire to all who opposed it. It was also known to set fire to towns, burning buildings, and raided those towns. Serpent Relic: The Black Mamba Relic The Dark-Wind Cobra Ship: Storm Reaper Story: A skeleton ship with a power-hungry need for greatness on the high seas, The Dark-Wind Cobra stole treasure from Navy and EITC ships. It worked alongside The Dark-Sail Serpent. They knew about the Shadow Serpent Clan, and had long wanted to try and steal from the clan's leader, The Shadow Cobra. The Dark-Wind Cobra and The Dark-Sail Serpent's dream was realized. While battling an EITC Juggernaut, the crew of the two ships caught sight of one of the Shadow Serpent Clan's more known wars, The War on The Hinterseas, and returned to their ships, ready to steal from the great leader himself. This was a big mistake, as the two ships were caught, and all their masts were blown down in the blink of an eye. The crews were shown no mercy, and were forced to join the Shadow Serpent Clan after being thrown into the brigs on The Shadow Cobra for around a month. The Dark-Wind Cobra and the Dark-Sail Serpent decided that this was a good thing, and they helped in the battles of the Shadow Serpent Clan. Details: They are known to plunder from strong ships. Serpent Relic: The Serpent of Storms Relic The Dark-Sail Serpent Ship: Black Harbinger Story: See the story for The Dark-Wind Cobra. Details: Do the same thing. Serpent Relic: The Venomous Rattler Relic The Dark Cobra Ship: Cerberus Story: Also a traitor of Jolly Roger's skeleton army, it was the second most feared ship of the Shadow Serpent Clan's armada. It held deadly Explosives on board, which were used in their broadsides in order to deal absolutely massive damage to their opponents. Few survived more than just a single Broadside from this ship, and those ships that did were raided, and were left with nothing but a single gold coin in their pockets. This ship showed no mercy, and was second in command in the Shadow Serpent Clan. Details: The Dark Cobra does the most damage of all the ships in the Shadow Serpent Clan. No one has ever been able to even fire a single shot at this ship before they are bombarded. When this ship shows itself, its enemies flee from battle. It shows itself when The Shadow Cobra is under fire. Serpent Relic: The Emerald Serpent Relic The Shadow Cobra Ship: Ship of the Line Story: This great ship was built from the strongest wood found anywhere in the Caribbean. The Shadow Cobra's fine hull was impossible to break. No damage could be done to the ship's hull. The masts were the only point of damage, and even THIS only did minor damage to the ship. No one dared engage in battle with this ship, but even then they were brought into combat and met a fatal doom. Details: This ship is known to sail in the lost waters that many call the Uncharted Waters. No one dares enter these seas, for fear that they may meet up with The Shadow Cobra herself. Serpent Relic: The King Cobra Relic To this day, the Shadow Serpent Clan's return is still feared, but these 6 remaining ships have split up into 3 pairs - The Red Cobra and The Black Serpent, The Dark-Wind Cobra and The Dark-Sail Serpent, and The Dark Cobra and The Shadow Cobra. Even then, no one has ever seen any of them working together. They have all been sighted as being alone. Their power is still known, recognized, and still existent. Hope you guys enjoyed this early preview. I require having all 6 of the new ships -Kingfisher, Warlord, Phantom, Cerberus, Revenant and Ship of the Line. That will be whenever they come officially to live, and then I will have to gain the necessary gold to purchase them. I will use two pirates - both will have 3 of the 6 ships. Note: If you noticed that I mentioned Storm Reaper and Black Harbinger instead of Phantom and Revenant, it is because the Phantom and Storm Reaper have the same broadsides, and the Storm Reaper is stronger. Same thing for the Revenant and Black Harbinger. Opinions would be much appreciated. |
Please remember, this is not an official prologue to the next Guild Quest. This is simply a suggestion :)

But actually, I was thinking this could be my own little guild quest, if you will. Kind of like how Kat and Grace, as well as El, made their own. I may consider doing this - with some help of working it out with you of course, Del - if what we think of the ships - special broadsides, looking like their enemy counterparts, and hopefully the NPC ships having more HP than just the Kingfisher having 1,200 HP... All I require is approval. |
