Mega Bosses!!

Alright, so for the most part, fighting in this game is pretty basic. Swing your sword or shoot your gun at your foe until they fall over and drop that precious loot. Even for bosses, its the same. Well, what I was thinking was this. And OMG, Davy actually thinks! Its amazing!

Ok, so, I think that there should be a second type of boss. These ones are far rarer, and far more powerful. They are all Lv ??, and have ??/?? health, similar to Jolly Roger. These bosses will randomly appear. Note, not spawn in place of another enemy, they will just walk out of a corner. Above their head will be a logo just like the ones for bosses, except glowing green. When you see them, charge or run. They can only be fought one on one. So, once you get within X feet of them, the area around you will be blocked off to others, and it will just be you and the Leader. (Leader is the "super-boss") Now, this is how fighting them works:

- You will start out simply attacking them with your weapon of choice. You can hack/shoot/cast away at them and deal some damage.

- They will occasionally attack you, however if you are very fast, you can sidestep it. Other times, they will lock their sword with you. You will have to do a short series of mouse movements exactly the way the game tells you to. If you succeed, then you push off the enemy's weapon, and give a good, powerful slash. If you fail, the enemy will deal massive damage to you. If you are using a pistol, instead of a sword lock, you will be in a slow motion dodging state, and if you succeed you dodge and shoot. If you are using voodoo, you are blocking them with voodoo, and if you succeed you will hit them with a spell.

- Each time you go into a Battle Lock (what I described above) it will be different than the previous. You may also have to click keys, or do motions similar to legendary fish battles. As you progress into the battle, it gets harder. Also, if you don't do it fast enough, you will get damaged.

- Once the enemy has a certain amount of health left, a very low amount, the screen will prompt you to shake your mouse in a certain direction. You will then have to do another series of commands, these ones much, much more difficult. If you fail, you take damage, and your foe regains some. If you succeed, then the Leader drops dead. They will drop a special Silver Chest, which will ALWAYS contain a famed weapon, or a legendary. And of course, you get bragging rights. :P

What do you guys think? Please post comments! :D

Two words to describe it:
Amazing Idea!!!

A Mega Boss to battle would be super intense. Absolutely amazing thinking Davy.

Nice idea, Davy, very creative. This would actually put another quite difficult thing, along side with the Navy/EITC Expedition/Treasure Fleets.
What I want, however, is a boss enemy ship known as The Navy Goliath.

Good idea. I would love this, but I can't imagine it in this game. At least not the in-depth fighting thing, maybe very strong bosses and absolute CHAOS attacking them, like usual. Disney loves to do things halfway, as you might be able to tell by now...

Lol Davy, sounds like you got the general idea from The Force Unleashed XD. But I like it :P Would be great to always get a famed or legendary from something.

Tiberius Fireskull 11-17-2010 02:36 AM

Lol, finally someone guess it. Yes, I did get the idea from The Force Unleashed, but hey! Its an awesome game!

Stephen O'Malley 11-17-2010 02:39 AM

Very creative. You should totally send it to Disney.

Ah yes, I remember this in Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End for Wii. Anyways, I would not want it one on one, but maybe 4 on 1 only because of the limit being too small.

Also I would like them spawning in a way that rare bosses spawn, because walking out of nowhere would make no sense at all.

My next point is bringing this idea into a multiplayer high rate PvP action. Now THAT would be epic.

i dont like the idea of the mini games but as far as the hole lv?? is a good idea and jolly has around 80k health in invasions ( lvl 100 ) you can see his lvl sometimes when he dies

Sorta like incorporating the whole commands into PVP? I like that idea. As in you lock swords with your opponent and you have to do several commands before they do.
