no no no! You have it all wrong! Jolly Roger has cursed the -- yea, sight's down. Probably fixing some stuff up. Maybe adding some news or something, but that usually won't close it. Perhaps they are redesigning the whole site.

/shrug. *grabs rum and waits*

Ah yes. I recall being alerted to the message at around 10, then getting booted about half an hour later. Didn't feel it was much to post about. They closed test last week or something for random updates, right? Bug fixes or something? Probably just transferring them to live.

Countainer7b 11-09-2010 06:40 AM

sounds about right but then again maybe it is just "server matenance"

Luckie OClover 11-09-2010 06:44 AM

Well this usually happy Pixie Pyrate is a little peeved
I cant grind my weapons in the Caribbean OR
gather ingredients & earn badges in Pixie Hollow

I understand & even appreciate, Maintenance & Updates & Fixes.... but on at least 2 games at once :mybadki6:

:ahoy: here is to smooth sailing & sweet breezes when they reopen

Shouldn't take 5 hours for simple maintenance. They have to be either fixing a ton of bugs or adding some stuff.

Crestshot 11-09-2010 06:49 AM

Huh, interesting... I looked at all the other sites as well. Toontown, Pixie Hollow, and Cars are all down. In fact, the entire Cars site is down; I can't even get a loading screen saying something like "Sorry, we're oiling up for a new race!" or something. Wonder what happened to make them do full blown server maintenance.

Countainer7b 11-09-2010 06:49 AM

it's probably easier to update both games at once plus its only a few hours at a time when there are very few people online.

I just wish they gave the warning thing...you know...telling you its gonna happen in however many minutes....my whole svs crew started getting the boot, one at a time...we noticed boats disappearing....lol...then someone said it was closed...and ... bam..I got the boot. Course, thats a common thing in svs...but still....:)

Rannulf 11-09-2010 07:58 AM

I got booted as well, so I went to the main site and saw this message: Jolly Roger Cursed our Site!

I pray the leaderboard is getting fixed!

One would think they could at least give us the usual warning with the Red Flag on the Launcher....that is before we go rebooting and looking for what is wrong on our end..D'oh!

site still closed

Is this normal for the site to not be back up when they say it will? It says it would be back up at 3am PST and it's 8:45am here on the East Coast...past time...

I need my fix! :SkullBullet1:

seafox 11-09-2010 02:38 PM

Very long maintenance.....maybe we will actually be able to tell something was done this time! :)

JM Ohara 11-09-2010 03:23 PM
