Speed Chat < Open Chat
 

Ok, as most yall know, I'm a speed chat guy. And if you know math, you can see by my little equation up there, I be needing open chat. So big question, HOW?

Its really complicated. You need to go to manage account I believe and go to parental controls... it was really complicated. I just go to manage account, it should be straight forward from there. If not, phone them. They are usually pretty helpful over the phone or on live chat.

IF you're less than 13 on your age when you entered it, there is no way to change it until it hits 13. You can make a basic account with over 13 to chat, that's what I do.

I've heard of cases where people have had their parental units call Disney to upgrade the account to Open, but sometimes they may reject it. Really, it often depends on what person you get.

You used to be able to log on to the POTCO site with your parent account and then change it from there, but I'm not sure if that still works or not...

As Dog said your account age needs to be over 13 if its under 13 theres no way of getting it sorry, I've tried Live Chat loads of times lol

Thanks for the answers! As soon as I posted I turned off my PSP(tm). LoL Yeah, I guess I havta wait. But I have learned something. Whenever I make a new account for google, yahoo or hotmail (I have an email with all), I always put 97 as my year of birth... Just so I don't get this very same problem. A smart kid needs his google tools... :D

Ok heres what you do. Fool proof. Call Disney on the parental controls number. Ask them to change it because you accidently put in the wrong birth date and that your over 13. In about a hour you got it! Hope this helps.

Wait. I think only 13+ aged and ONLY 13+ aged people can use Open Chat, with the exception of True Friend codes, only available on I think Toontown.

Yeah i was able to upgrade and they will send you emails about you being able to do more stuff :)

You need the e-mail that was used when you set up the account online. to change parental controls for chat.
Took me 3 years to figure out how to unblock this feature. :piratear:

Trust me it did work! I gave them a ring and they said ok and bam! Muffy you still Speed Chat?
