The Lost Hero ~ Heroes of Olympus

Ok, how many of you have read the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series by Rick Riordan? To those of you that have: ISN'T IT THE BEST SERIES EVARR? To those of you that haven't: dood.... go to a bookstore.

I've read all of the original books at least 4 times each. When The Last Olympian came out, the 5th book, I devoured it in about two nights. When I found out it was the end, I think I was going to cry. It beats Harry Potter, Ranger's Apprentice, and any other book series in my opinion.

A few days ago, the next legacy in the Camp Half-Blood series was released, The Lost Hero, part of the new series, Heroes of Olympus. I am currently reading this book, and it is really good so far; however I highly doubt that it can beat the original series. Either way, it seems like it will be amazing. Any of you reading this book or have heard of it?

I know right! I was able to eat up to page 145 today, in a combination of reading in class (I'm so bad... xD) and reading it at home. And speaking of Rick Riordan's books, anyone read The Red Pyramid? That one is really good too.

I just got this book and so far it's awesome! Don't tell me what happens, I can't read it right now cause I left it at school :( Red pyramid was good too, and I like the Ranger's Apprentice books too. Oh yeah, and it took me way to long to figure out the name. :laughks2: If you didn't get the name, it's because you know Percy is the hero, and he's lost.... yeah......

Tiberius Fireskull 11-02-2010 11:20 PM

I think thats why the title is called The Lost Hero, but I think it has to do with Jason. If you think about it, he is lost in his mind. He is a hero, so he is a Lost Hero as well. Its sort of like finding the people portrayed as Mockingbirds in To Kill a Mockingbird, its all based on opinion and view of the character.

I finished the book a few days ago. Amazing story. I think that the next book is called The Son of Neptune, but I'm not sure. Yes, Neptune, not Poseidon.

Captain Jason 11-03-2010 12:01 AM

Does anyone know the name of the next book in the the Red Pyramid series?
P.S. Wasn't neptune Posideon's Roman name or something?

Tiberius Fireskull 11-03-2010 01:30 AM

Aye, Neptune = Poseidon, Jupiter = Zues, Juno = Hera, Venus = Aphrodite, Vulcan = Hephaestus, Terra = Gaea, and so on. I think I know all of the Roman to Greek names....

Captain Jason 11-04-2010 08:56 PM

I'm about to finish the book, he's talking to the god of wind, I forgot his name and I'm doing homework right now.
