Loot Skull Chests Statistics
 

I'm posting this thread because I feel as if players such as myself need more information about how to find famed weapons. Many players such as myself will spend hours a day trying to find a famed weapon. I want to save time, as much as possible when searching for famed and legendary weapons.

This is not a guide, I simply want to see how many loot skull chests you've found, and how many famed weapons you've found in that amount. Please note, I'll post my own stats as an example.

82 skull chests since two weeks ago. Total hours of play, 3 1/2. Tormenta and El Patrons Mine.
Three famed weapons. Dagger of the Golden Idol, Bejeweled Sabre, and the Spinecrest sword.

This thread is so that players can see the chance that they MIGHT have of getting a famed weapon, and from where. This is basically like a loot drop thread, only you post the amount you found in what time, and how many fames.

PLEASE do not post saying you found 120 skull chests, and say you found five legendarys, with no pictures of you opening a loot chest to back your up your claims. If you post screenshots of you finding five legendary's, well, we can only assume the number of loot skull chests you posted is probably right.(unless it's up in the 1,000,000 range.)

So, 3 out of 82 fameds in skull chests for me, does anyone else have better luck?

NO! I stopped counting this week after getting 100 skulls. (That might seem weird, but I keep statistics on this.) I have noticed a HUMONGOIDIUS (:O New word!) drop in any worth while drops. Total famed this week: an amazing 0. In weapons, that's about 95% junk I wouldn't be caught dead with and leave behind. I have much worse luck than you my friend. :(

Same, have found over 50 skulls from darkhart, 0 famed weapon, while my continues to find a famed each day he plays! no fair...

Well, let me check the percentage real fast. 3/82 famed equals 0.0365 and to get the right percentage we'll need to multiply it by 100, making it a 3.65 percent chance to find a famed weapon in a loot skull chest.

Is this true for everyone? Of course not, considering you guys have found 0 out of 50 and 100, which is completely possible.

While I continue to search for famed and legendary weapons, I will update my stastists, and won't stop until I reach 1000 loot skull chests, which should give me around 30 famed weapons. I just want to have a reference so that I can go back and compare my luck with others. I mean hey, maybe in the end it really is the same for everybody.

wow... 4% for famed inside a skull... skull is hard enough to get already...
lol what about legendary weapons? would it be like 0.000003% chance?
I want to go back to 2 months ago when I find a famed in every like 15 skulls I open.. sigh...
Guess I used up all my luck..

I'm going to reset my counter today, and see about my statistics daily.

Don't have any recent Famed to provide a screenshot for, but in 221 skulls since the Raven's Cove update I have found a Master Crafted Repeater Pistol, Sacred Repeater Pistol, Banshee Doll, Occult Doll, and Knives of the Golden Idol. Pistols from the mines, knives and dolls from Tormenta.

Since I'm just curious, every 100 loot chests I get, I'll reset, and see how many famed weapons I get. My luck is probably completely different than some people, so I want to see if my luck goes up or down.

8 more chests before I reset, I'm currently at 92. If I don't get any famed weapons, then the amount I find will sit at 3% for my chance. If it happens to go up the next 100, great, but I'm not crossing my fingers.

so far this is the pattern I have noticed while killing darkhart, abassa.
When a famed weapon come, there would be another famed after around an hour (since it is in abassa, you might have to multiple that by like 6 for quiet servers) Then it would be around 5-6 hours before another few comes. Sometimes 2 may come at a time, but it is not very common.

Just thought I'd throw this in: Enemies with drops have more health. I noticed this by one-hit killing Brutes and Witchdoctors. Even a lower level enemy than the rest took two hits while the higher-level enemies took one. And sure 'nuff he dropped a pouch. Won't help much, but hope it does somehow.

I've just started trying this statistic thing.

Recorded time looting so far from the last 2 days.

Day 1
Tormenta – 2 hours
1 skull with rare
2 skulls with common

Neban – 2 skulls with common (30 minutes)

Sailing – 1 skull with rare (corsair’s sea globe)
(15 – 20 minutes)

Day 2
Tormenta – 15 minutes
1 skull with famed ( privateer’s bayonet )

So I guess that's about 7 skulls, 3 hours to 3 hours 5 minutes, 2 rare weapons, 4 common and a famed.
A famed, but not a keep, already have corsair's bayonet.

1 out of 11 skull chests, 1 and a half hour.
