What is your POTCO music playlist?

Just wondering what some people listen to while playing POTCO. I've found that when I'm not chillin' on Driftwood listening to the notoriously relaxing in-game music there, that adding your own music helps to enhance the game experience. Playing fast-tempo music while battling Rem or boarding flags is suitable. Relaxing music (like steel drum beach music :P) helps while fishing or hanging around with guildies and friends. And epic music helps while sailing. I'll break the ice.

1.) Greenskeepers-Vagabond: any GTA 4 fan will know this! I just include it because I like it. :P

2.) Michael Jackson-Thriller: What is better for a game filled with undead and zombie dances than Thriller! (Add to official soundtrack, devs?)

3.) Metallica-Fade to Black: Ok, the epic guitar solo is PERFECT for boarding flagships.

4.) The Ramones-Blitzkreig Bop: I just like this song. :P

5.) The Gorillaz-Clint Eastwood: One of my favorite songs, plus, good for the preparations for invasions, usually because of the (sorta?) creepy intro

6.) Boys Noize-& Down: One of my favorites, my past in electronica music is brought out in this. A sorta dance meets electro song. Good for high-seas adventure! (Can't believe I just said that... :mybadki6: )

7.) Daft Punk-Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger: Another electronica classic, good for "lightning loot" or anytime you need high speed music.

8.) Drowning Pool-Bodies: A little hardcoreness anyone? A high energy hard rock song. Good for pulling a truckload of enemies at a time. Also good for any high velocity crew plunder.

9.) Eminem-Till I Collapse: I don't usually follow any Eminem songs, but this song from the MW2 trailer is alright. (Yes, I know it's older than that, but I like videogames, ok?) Good for any kind of battle that tests your abilities, like pulling two Thralls at one time.

10.) Deadmau5-The Reward is More Cheese: I just like the name. Best name ever. XD

11.) Guns N Roses-Welcome to the Jungle: Old, but a classic. Nice for plundering... well... The Jungle!

Post your own please. I'm also looking forward to googling Tayseth's Modest Mouse songs to see if I like them. :D:piratewheelgo2:

I definitely agree with Thriller, mate!
I usually listen to my CD of The Birthday Massacre, whom is my favorite band. They have a mix of up beat and slow songs. Perfect combo. ;)

Slouyx 10-20-2010 01:02 AM

I listen to a number of songs while playing the game.
(Note, Chimera, I love that band too and often listen to them while playing POTCO!)
( I won't say songs, because there is just too many, but I will say some bands.)
The usual bands are these:
A Perfect Circle,
System Of A Down,
The Birthday Massacre,
Imogen Heap,
T.A.T.U.,
Hollywood Undead,
Red,
Celldweller/Pendulum
Breaking Benjamin,
Skillet,
Flyleaf,
And err, many more, haha. That's just a small sample from a huge list ;)

Hehe... the usual for me. Some Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, and of course, All-American Rejects!!!

ex8404 10-20-2010 01:35 AM

May be corny but sometimes I'll put on Emerson, Lake and Palmer's song Pirates.

Chris Ironhawk 10-20-2010 01:39 AM

I usually put on Black Eyed Peas, Gaga, Sandstorm by Darude, and Better Off Alone by Alice Deejay.

Omg awesome! I am surprised to find another fan here yay! :D

WitchdoctorDan 10-20-2010 11:52 PM

YAY! More songs from a very great Electronica artist I've found. :D

Deadmau5-Ghosts N Stuff

Deadmau5-Hi Friend (Pretty good beat and high energy song. I likes it in teh Minezors.)

Deadmau5-MOAR Ghosts N Stuff (Nice while trying to kill a Rage Ghost.)

And Slouyx, I LOVE SOAD! Very fast tempo songs, makes me feel alive. Chop Suey is, for some reason, my favorite. Not sure why. :P

NOTE: I only posted a few in the topic. I have an epic list that I am not at justice to add all of. Ohh, speaking of which,

Justice-DVNO

Justice-Waters of Nazareth

5) Simple Plan: Generation
Cool trumpets in this.

6) Green Day: Christian's Inferno
Middle of the album, amazing.

7) Songs To Wear Pants To: Robot Pirates
In the almbum sweat pants... I know.

8) Owl City: Vanilla Twilight
I prefer chocolate, but vanilla's decent.

9) The English Beat: I Confess
Nice tune in this.

10) Simple Plan: Me Against The World
Sounds like an explosion of noise.

11) Talking Heads: Once In A Lifetime
Heads that talk. Unthinkable!

12) GLaDoS and Jonathan Coulton: Still Alive
Theme song of Portal, really cool.

13) Owl City: Hello Seattle (Remix)
Double the Seattle!

14) Green Day: The Static Age
Explicit but a nice song.

15) Owl City: To The Sky
I think you can see my favourite band... Green Day!

16) AFI: Prelude 12/12
Short but cool and dramatic.

17) Green Day: 21 Guns
A great ending song.

Overall, I LOVE my playlist. It's an exact hour jam-packed with my favourite bands and artists. :)

I liked Green Day for a while, before they turned all "Pop." :( Guess we have different tastes. :P

I don't really see how they've gone pop, hardly any of their songs are. But I do love Horshoes And Handgrenades for its thrashing feeling, although it's not a very clean song. Also St. Jimmy on the album American Idiot is great.

How did they turn Pop? American Idoit is an amazing album, and the songs are rock. I can see where you're coming from with 21 Guns, though, but IMO it's still a great song.

Anyway, I usually listen to 1813 and 1815 (Music Choice on demand) on Fios.

Ok, that one I like. :D The new album is just too... poppy to me. American Idiot was good, the new one isn't my cup o' tea. Definitely not something I would plunder to, catch my drift? As I said, I used to like them. I had that sweater from that older video. The striped one. Still do somewhere! :D

I can definitely not seeing anyone talking to Mr Sparrow with Green Day, but they are decent songs. I just have those songs because they're personal favourites. :)
