Test/Open account access question
 

Not sure if anyone can answer this question yet, but I am very curious.

ALL beta accounts (pre-paid or not) are turned into test accounts.

I have a "Founder" account where I pre-paid (kinda) for the game for when it comes to open. So on beta it is an unlimited account.

I am wondering what happens on test. Will all test accounts be unlimited like toontown's are? Those pirates who keep a basic account on open, will they only have a basic account on test?

I am wondering if I HAVE to have a paid open account to have an unlimited test account.

I hope I am making some sort of sense..

My guess would be yes, you would have to have a paid account to keep the unlimited access on the test server. This is mostly due to the test server to technically still being the beta, but not really the beta. But when in doubt there is always the folks at Pirates Online to contact. They are pretty good about getting back to people but it might take them a few days.

If they allowed all beta people, paid or not, to play on the test servers, then what would be the incentive to pay? We would all just play on the test server for free, unless the non paying players had the basic accounts. So, I think from a business standpoint, they would only allow the paid people on the test servers with unlimited accounts and the non paying players with basic accounts.

So close, but really, now everybody will be paying $100+ each year, (you got $50 free, 1/2 a year with a beta account), to have a full access test account- they are calling "Open"...http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...es/Pirate7.gif

what i want to know is where you can get the test launcher. personally id rather stay in the beta worlds.
