POTCO Mounts
 

Should we have mounts like horses and other things to ride on (like in other famous or online MMO's) in Pirates Online? If so why? I hope this is the right forum for this but anyways. I think we should have horses but it would depend on the area, Kingshead right now would be a perfect place to do that etc. :bookishfj7: :piratewheelgo2:

I don't think that there's enough room for that.

I would love a horse! I could run over everyone I hate that way! But for no other reason. Personally, my pirate could use the work out. Pirates didnt really use mounts... the navy or eitc or townsfolk did.

I didn't mean horses in general, I meant any given mount for the game.

Still... it doesn't really fit with the game. Pirates either go on foot, or by ship.

Well if yer like me and want to get right to training or looting for me mastered then anything that make the wait lesser would be fine in my book

The only place I want a horse is in Kingshead. The quest discription says that hay are used to feed the horses. What horses!? What are all the haystacks used for?

This is not something like WoW, or LOTRO or some other online game where ye grab a horse and run around the town. That era was more like Knights and Knaves and such.

I do, however, know that in the Indiana Jones Lego game, the camels were used to 'trample' people. Maybe horses could be used as an attack. They trample people or kick people to keep them away from you.

I don't think mounts have a place in this game we have our ships thats all we need if you need a mount go elsewhere

I think Mounts would be cool. But, IMO, the first step to have them make mounts would be for them to make all the islands and caves one big area. (with each island having its own load, of course) IF, and only IF they could figure a way to do that without making the load screens rediculously longer, than I'd be excited for mounts.. They can still have tunnels like they did, but it would make each map look more expansive and what not. With expansiveness comes the need to get around faster, hence MOUNTS!! As of right now, with the way everything is seperated into different areas, I say nay, it's sort of pointless.

I also think that they should have different types of mounts based on your gameplay. (this would go along with Classes, which i doubt will never happen). People into the dark arts (voodoo) can ride on the backs of scorpions. Horses can be given to heroic pirates, and tank-type players would ride on a giant crab... with a harness and all. hahah. I think that would be cool :D

Well um.. I dont think we pirates are the horse type.
