Capture the Flag!
 
Well, I've been thinking about certain treasure maps that POTCO could add in, and I thought, heck! lets have capture the flag! How many of you love to play CTF? *raises hand*. Lol, anyway, I was thinking there could be three main types: land, sea, and land/sea combo.

Land: This is a land based version of capture the flag. You would be able to choose whether or not you want to play on the island itself, in a cave, or in a jungle. It would be like a PVP, as you would be able to kill each other. There would be two teams, red and blue (or more if you wanted). Each team would have a flag, and the other team would try to get to it, and steal it. Just like RL capture the flag... except this will have swords, guns, and other weapons in it. Also, there would be a boundry line, marking each team's side. When a player is on their home side, they have an advantage, as they will regenerate health there faster. On enemy ground, they will still regenerate health, but at a normal pace.

Sea: This would be an sea based capture the flag, where you would be sailing in ships. You would be able to choose the size of your playing field: small, medium, or large. Each team would, again, have a flag. Again, there would be sides where health would regenerate if you are on your home side. Each team would have a small island that the other team cant get to. It is only for launching ships, and crewing up. Also, if your ship is sunk, your crew re-spawns at the island. The ships will go and try to take the flag from the enemy (just touching it gives you the flag) and then get back to their base. Similar to privateering, except with the sides and flag.

Land/Sea Combo: This is by far the largest map, and the hardest. There are two islands this time, each a little farther than the distance between the two privateering islands apart. The players will have to get on their ships, sail to the other islands, find the flag, and get it back to their base. You would be able to choose if your island is just a little sandy island or a big island with a jungle and cave. Again, there would be the whole side thing. If you are killed, you respawn somewhere on your home island.

I know that pirates probably didnt play capture the flag... but hey, they didn't drink potions that made them tiny did they? Anyway, post your thoughts.

Would be cool if they added it to the game. :D

This could be kinda a new SvS plan! I'd be the french if it was...

For example the french have to steal a stash of weapons or documents from the spanish, then they have to do the land/sea combo and then return it to their bases safely.

I love this idea, except i was think more of a reward type thing, one team sets up a skull chest anywhere they choose on their half of the island. Same rules apply as yours, except the goal is to get the stuff in the chest. The other team decides if what they put in was fair and then the game begins. you have to get the objects and come back to win, you get the objects or gold and the game ends. no timer.

I like the land and sea one too, but it would give one team an unfair advantage depending on the ships they had, what if someone with mastered windcatcher, ramming speed, and full sail on a light sloop comes along? hard to hit and traveling at impossible speeds, they just need some high levels with quick foot to win, so what if we all had to use the same type of ship? we could have three types of ships for each team, war frigate, war galleon, and war sloop.

Challenging guild vs guild matches would be fun, I agree. Of course, it should always be in good fun, not out of hatred. However you should also be able to do crew vs crew or just random teams.

Cool, but look at Potco. Now look at the options you posted. One is a little (nice word for a lot) behind the other. We might get a half-done version, knowing Pocto. I would love all your options though.

Good idea although i dont think disney will go through with this, too much work, gotta set up a CPU, gotta make some combat adjustments, its really hard to press a few switches.....

Ok, for those of you who didnt understand, that was sarcasm. it would be so easy to make a CTF game on this, they have all of the software, just in the wrong places, but of course this will take a WHOLE HOUR (( again sarcasm )) jk, it might take a week or so, but really it would tide us off until at least next spring
and again, so easy to do this.
