I absolutely hate to post this!

Although I am NOT shutting down the DW guild, I am putting it on hiatus!

My RL became extremely hectic earlier this spring, and doesn't seem to be getting any less busy. My game time became almost non-existant for about 3 months, and when I did have time to play, I found that I just wasn't satisfied with repeating the same old stuff over and over. I have moved on to a different game, with the limited amount of time that I have to play.

I have let all the co-GM's and officers know about this.

I am keeping my account subscribed, at least until next July. If Disney finally comes out with an update that I feel has sufficient content, I will come back to the game! I have truely enjoyed my almost 3 years in POTCO, and still think that it could be the ultimate MMORPG, but I just don't feel that the development has gone in the right direction. I have no interest in mini-games, fishing, or anything else that they have done recently. I want STORYLINE, quests, and objectives. Killing Darkheart 1500 times in order to level up a weapon and get a legacy drop just doesn't interest me anymore.

I am always available to act in the GM capacity, should any officer need to contact me to conduct guild GM business, just pm me here.

DW , and the members of it:

You have all been the best friends that I have ever not met in person! A lot of you are closer than my own family. I know that most of us will remain in contact, and even play online together.

Others, non-DW:
I have met a ton of people here. Some of them are also people that I have come to think of as friends, even though we have never met. Please keep in contact, and I will make every attempt to do the same.

I will continue to serve as a moderator here, ( for as long as the staff will let me) and keep updated on any developments in the game. Should I see that Disney comes out with something truely new and exiting, I will gladly return to active play.

To the site admin:
Since there still are active persons in the guild, I am going to ask that the DW sub-forum remain open while there are still members active and posting here.


For now, this is not good-bye, but more of "I'll see you all later".

As a player from day one, it was actually a hard decision to make, but I have let my account go basic. You Dueces were the only thing I've enjoyed in game for a long time.

I'll still be here on POF, so don't be stingy with the rum....and I'll pop in game from time to time.

I may not know you very well, but I do know you have a strong influence here, and it is sad to see you go. You will be missed, and do come by to visit mate.

Take care Basil and Sarah during your hiatus. Hope to see you back in the game some day, though understand your reasons.

good luck for any future endeavours. Leaving is always a hard descision to make no matter what form it comes (as I should well know)

Well I'm not going anywhere just yet. A new story quest is out on test and it looks to be pretty dang cool. I am hoping it will be enough to get some of you to come back. So for now I'm staying put here in DW.... even if I'm all alone. :psmiley35: And I'm throwing this out there to any DW members who are still in game.. Lets try and get a guild night going again, it has been on Wed evenings, but I am open just about anytime or day, if anyone is interested please let me know TK

I pop in-game from time-to-time but my son's mighty-might tackle football coaching has and will have me tied up until mid Nov'ish. Four nights a week practice, get home, him fed washed and in bed and at 9:30 ~ 10 PM I just don't feel up to playing anything....TGIF!

I still check in on PotCO (messing around on test right now...watching my pirate deform as she does the idle animations...), but like several of the others, I'm spending most of my time in another game. After two and half years, I just needed more content. :)

Although since Ravens Cove came out I have just now come back ( on test ) to see about it.

I have no desire to level more pirates , hence really not much to do and gosh does *********************** seem to be more fun looking ( and way cheaper ) .

In April / May my accounts WILL go Basic. Sorry I havent been around much also, just got tired of the game in all forms. however, until April / May , if ya need help i'll check in here looking for it.
