What does "Hall of Fame" group mean??
What does Hall of fame, mean in the mods and admits section??
It means they aren't active. They still have mod powers, just very limited powers...
Oh.. Thanks muffin
Your Welcome...
It's a group of mods and/or admins who have retired from their job on this site. They still have some mod powers but not all.

Anyone seen Benjamin Dreadgull??? reason I asked... He been gone from game, and pof since February..
I apologize to the mods if this is a little off....
A Hall of Famer is a moderator or administrator who has chosen to become "less-than-active" in their duties on the site. They are still apart of the site from time to time, just their main focus is no longer modding on the site. I'm guessing Ben was never set as a Hall of Fame member because he never offically stated that he would have chosen to step down. |
Was just afraid something bad happened to him...that's why i wondered....wouldn't be a big deal if i knew he simply quit..
Actually you are both correct, sort of.
When mods/admins are marked as Hall of Fame, it usually means that person has retired from their moderator duties. They don't have any moderator privileges at all. The tag is meant as a salute to their contributions to our sites. Sometimes a moderator will need to take an extended leave due to real life circumstances, vacation, etc. You may see them marked Hall of Fame just so they are not inundated with PMs and questions while they are away. After all, it wouldn't be fair to our users for them to try to contact a mod that wasn't actively listening. I hope this clarifies any confusion. Edit: Ben has been marked as Hall of Fame for a while. You can actually see who is HoF on the group list page. His name isn't the HoF blue color because his display group is still set to a clan rank image. |
Ok thanks!

Kind of unrelated, but I noticed that below your mood, join date, etc it has some little objects. Bottles of rum are they? Anyway, they range from Pirate wannabe to well reknown pirate. How do you go up in rank on that?
Those, my friend, are the Reputation Bottles. You gain one when a member of POF thinks any post of your is really good. To add rep to another member if you so choose all you need to do is click on the button next to the post #.
Ah, thank you TSC. Now I know what buttons not to click when I look at your posts. Lol, I kid mate.
As long as you don't click the one next to it we are golden. I don't want to get reported.
