why are there somany people named pirate and buccaner are they temparary names or are people really useing a common name.

Typically yes, they are temporary names until Disney reviews the name you have chosen. I have seen plenty of people who chose to be named Pirate or Buccaneer though. =)

What Stella said. I think that after a certain amount of failed attempts at renaming your pirate your name will just become pirate, swashbuckler, or buccaneer though.

There's some people that name their pirates that. I will use POF's own Swash.
