No Skull Loot Chests while Sailing!
 

I have a question/problem. I can't ever get Skull Loot Chest while at sea! I haven't got one since they released El Patron's Weapons! Can someone help me? I am
Notoriety - lvl 49
Sailing - lvl 30
Cannon - lvl 26

try making treasure sense rank 5 and if you have a sailing charm, with treasure sense boost, use it.

I have 5 points on treasure sense and a Famed charm too and I never get anything.

It's all purley random, having Sea Charms and Treasure Sense just boost your chances, you just have to keep looking mate!

I rarely get Skull Chests at sea, nor have I ever gotten anything above a loot pouch when doing the Treasure Fleets. I keep all my pirates at 5 on treasure sense and use the sea charm I have for a boost as well. It's all horrible, horrible luck. =P Good luck to you though, maybe we will be in the same crew and luck out one day. LOL.

I got 3 today..... i have rank 3 sense and don't use broadsides and just gun...

I have 5 points on my treasure sense, and I usually sail with a wooden charm when I plunder... I dont get loot skulls often, but its not like I never get them.

i got a few loot skulls from sailing so far, have 5 on TS, but it was all common items, not even a rare. But multiple times I've gotten a rare item or weapon from loot pouches while sailing, one even gives rank 3 navagation and full sail boost 3!

If you ask me, I think Treasure Sense only affects the Cargo. Loot just 'drops' randomly like any other loot from land.

Could be right... however it would be nice if we could manually dump cargo now. This way I could fill my cargo with loot rather than cargo. I could care less about gold right now, as I have 200K of it.

I'd prefer being able to open a Loot Container when you FIRST get it like you would on land.

Most of the several Loot Skull Chests I've gotten at sea have come from the greatness that is the Treasure Fleets. I've also gotten some from Corsairs and Corsairs only. I have yet to get a Loot Skull Chest from anything other than that - that's just my luck...

It's all random, as mentioned by Speedway.
