Survival Regatta!! This Sunday afternoon!!
 

Survival Regatta

It's that time again! Time for the running of the rust buckets as the ETC's Survival Regatta- is coming this Sunday at 5pm EST. We will be meeting at the docks of Padres Del Fuego (Monos).

FOUR laps of dangerous racing aboard Light Galleons through the worst waters in the Caribbe. Getting home in one piece is a feat in itself!



- RULES -

1) LIGHT GALLEONS ONLY. Only 1 Crew member is allowed for repairing, but shooting is not recommended. You CANNOT launch from an SVS island.

2) Line up at Padres, behind the starting ship. Sail ONLY when the start/finish ship fires her broadsides.

3) You must go AROUND Kingshead, then between Port Royal and the marker ship (TBA), AROUND Tormenta and back to the Start/Finish ship. Any vessel caught cutting a corner is disqualified.

4) Complete ALL FOUR laps. If you are sunk, you're out. If NO ship survives, the vessel going the farthest is declared the posthumous winner.

5) ANY Sailing Boosts and skills are allowed.

To answer a question I received, ships start from dead stop - lined up behind the Crimson Widow. The Widow will fire both broadsides as the start signal.

I will watch the race not join but if anyone doesnt have someone to repair there ship I am happy to help.

If you see a ship named gun rose it will be me just watching not trying to budge in or anything ;).

Many thanks to the pirates who took to the dangerous waters this past weekend for the Survival Regatta.

We had 6 ships take the challenge, only 5 made it back - but NOT due to sinking (sorry Jack Shipsteel)

Our winner was Demaria Darkskull from Partners N Crime!

Next month - RULES CHANGES!

• The Regatta will change gears from Light Galleon to Light Frigates only.
• Ships cannot have CREWS annnnd
• We step up to 5 LAPS of HELL!

For months now we've been running as Light Galleon only and I've been fielding a lot of requests for other ship classes.

Likely this will NOT be a permanent change. We would like as many mates as possible to participate.

Should all go well, and we can GROW the event larger - we may even have multiple heats in the future.

A Big congrats to Del for winning the race! Unforunately, my Riptide Rogue was unable to make it to the finish ( Have to love that wireless, huh? ), but still was tons of fun. Glad to see a lot of non-Elite Thievery Co. out there, which means we're getting the word out. Hope to see 12 challengers next Regatta!

P.S Be careful next race mates.. I'll be coming with a vengenace!
