Jolly Roger's Invasions Continue ...August 02, 2010

The battle for control of the Caribbean is not going well - for Jolly Roger that is. His Invasions have done major damage but he has lost most of the battles. The Pirates have been very successful in fighting off Jolly and his minions, and that makes him mad. Add to this the strength-giving potions and the powerful weapons looted from the stash of El Patron, and Jolly's in a world of trouble.

Word is that Jolly Roger will be changing his strategy. Instead of attempting to invade and weakening one main island each month, we'll probably see an all out assault on different islands at random times. There's no way to know when or where he'll strike next! This word is coming from none other than Tia Dalma herself. She had a vision that told her that Jolly plans to catch us Pirates by surprise. So if you find yourself on Port Royal, Tortuga or Padres de Fuego, keep your wits and mates about you. How long will these all-out assaults last? No one knows except Jolly Roger and his Generals.

A whole month.. and they just come up with the idea of switching the invasions up more often. Hopefully something meaningful comes soon.

Staller... Islands are coming, hasn't been an update in weeks!

I really would like for the invasions to take place on all three main islands at once. And us not know which island Jolly will show up at... Maybe even bringing in a couple star generals of his to attack the other two same time he attacks one... Just an idea. Would be more interesting for sure.

That would be nice, I doubt that they'll do that unfortunately. Something I don't get about this though, invasions should have been random since at least a month after Padres invasions were introduced. I don't do invasions that much, but it makes no sense to change the location up monthly (or around that length of time). Each of the islands should be invaded at least once a day (on days invasions are occurring).

I agree completely, Sven. They should also make it completely spur of the moment, no warning. As if Jolly Roger really has a time table, rofl!!

Is this yet again more stall news.. to keep us off the test game this week to wait for that "new mysterious island" or any new content? Also don't invasion's happen at "random times" anyway? :/ :bookishfj7::piratewheelgo2:

Not exactly. If they are happening that day, they are usually a few hours appart. Get warning on the hour, invasion happens on the half hour.

They happen at random times (although, as has been mentioned, they never were that random), but this is making the invasion be on a random island as well. So no longer will it be one island every few weeks.

Hopefully the next update to test will be next week. The last update was July 9th, so next week would be one month.

Hmm they will come without warning? Boy those port royal invasions are hard.

Ugh great more bones for us to fetch, they really just need to give us some REAL news already.

Actually I do believe we will still get a warning on the hour and 30 minutes later the invasion will take place. The location though will not be known till they give the warning. Whereas before we would have invasion on Port Royal for a month, then Tortuga for a month and then on Padres for a month. I would then switch back to Port Royal and repeat.

Is this Update on live or test? I did an invasion at Tortuga and Port Royal yesterday.

Live, He hit all three islands yesterday!

I love this new update! It makes invasions so much more fun.
