Fix a few things, make more things worse
 

my First thread on POTCO forums...

On Oct. 18th the site was closed for maintenance for awhile and then I started playing today and I found more than a dozen new problems!
I am not sure if anyone is experiencing the same things.
First: Higher level ships (25+) have become impossible to kill. I am level 19 not. and level 15 cannon and I still can't make a dent in those ships. The days before, however, it was fine.
Second: The cave on Padres Del Fuego by Romany Bev now leads to nowhere. If you try to go through the cave you just drop off of the island completely. I have screen shots of this.
Third: Getting kicked from the servers is worse today than ever before. No error message appears the window just closes.
Fourth: Glitch with teleporting to people on ships. Takes forever to do and closed out numerous times in the process.
Fifth: My sails on my ship are still gone, and my ship still randomly appears on fire without even having been struck.

I hope that they will fix these problems soon!


addition: Tortuga Hold 'Em has also become very difficult.

Yea, I've noticed the same things and my game has been randomly closing every 5-10 minutes but the music still plays. Honestly, it's making me mad.

If you still hear the music after your game has closed try this:
1. CTRL-ALT-DEL
2. Task manager will pop up (or if you have Vista select task manager from the list that appears)
3. Go to Processes
4. Look for the one that says 'Pirates' or Pirates.exe or something of the like, and end the process.

You should then be able to instantly restart your game and continue playing..that is of course if you don't mind being booted all the time

I assume you have reported these bugs.

This is still a beta new updates undoubtably bring new bugs.

For Tortuga Hold'em Poker, just bet right off the bat and everyone else will fold.

You are right, Maria, every fix they put in brings more problems. They put in a fix for guild names above peoples heads - now my guild name doesn't show.
