PNC Guild Quest - Chapter II Official Thread
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...-02-17-1-2.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...14-08-06-1.jpg http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...14-05-45-2.jpg Since its first installment in October of 2009, the Partners N Crime Guild Quest has become one of the most interactive, challenging, unique, and mostly, overall fun activity that the guild has yet to participate in. The idea was first brought up in August of that year, when I was sitting around wondering how to entertain my members, of a new, young guild, that would both not bore them, as well as utilize the coming Notoriety updates. And thats when the idea came, "Why not a New Story Chapter?", and so it began. Over the span of a month, a quest consisting of 39 parts was created, each and every one of them pushing pirates to break their limits. Today, this has repeated itself on a grander scale. Since Late May of 2010, I have been constructing the next quest, one much larger, more difficult, and more interactive than its ancestor. So, my partners, I present to you.. The Partners N Crime Guild Quest - Chapter II The Story of a Prince The quest revolves around Captain Lawrence Prince, a new and fresh, but vicious and mysterious pirate in the guild. Nobody in the guild are sure who he is, where hes from, and why hes here, all that he is a little.. different, than newer pirates to the Caribbean. Now, all Partners N Crime members will get the chance to unravel Lawrence's past while he goes in search of his reason for being in the Caribbean. The quest will work exactly like a quest. Pirates will interact with various characters in our story, which will, like any other quest, hand out a story-related task... with a twist, of course. These tasks will include everything in the game, and by that, I really do mean everything. Sailing, Land Combat, Potions, Cannon Defense, as well as other, more interactive tasks, including sneaking around or distracting your enemies, ship chases, riddles, and more! Some will also either require being accompined by myself, or a screenshot as proof of completing the task. Instead of breaking up in to groups like last time, ALL pirates in the guild will work together on the same quest. However, NO outside help may be given! The introduction of the quest, and its first task, shall be posted on this thread on July 9th. Good luck, pirates! You're gonna need it.... |
Yay! Its here!

Prelude
The heavy cloak of darkness shrouded the pathway they walked. Two soldiers of the Royal Navy marched up the hill, escorting a man chain by the wrists and his headed covered by a thick brown sack. Both the soldiers carried bayonets, which sat in their arms pointed towards the sky. They walked very slowly and cautiously. They were scared. Suddenly, a scream rang out across the outskirts of Fort Charles. Two guards, one who took a nap, and the other who toyed with his gun, ran from their positions outside the staircase leading in to the fort to investigate. Rounding the corner, they found the bodies of two guards. One layed on the ground, his own bayonet turned on into him. The other, had his head slammed against the stone wall nearby, knocked unconscious. Meanwhile, an esteemed public official sat at a beautifully craved desk, looking down on a map of the Caribbean, sipping wine, remember what it was like only weeks ago. This was no other official. It was Beckett's right-hand man, who was slipped in to overseeing the military presence of Port Royal by Beckett's golden touch. And it was a woman. She that there, letting her mind wander, as she gently swirled the glass of wine as if it were the waves of the sea. Suddenly, one of her Officers bursted through the door. "Madame, we have an emergency!" And all while this occurred, the chaos which ruled Port Royal, a man heavily cloaked in rank clothing walked in to a traderman's store. The trader looked up with his feeble eyes, and the mysterious figure presented to him a wish to aquire a certain object on the market. "Oh, I'm afraid this cannot be." The trader. "This object is highly too..." The Figure did need to hear the rest of the sentence before he knew where it was going. He kicked the desk acrossed the room slamming it in to a nearby bookcase, while his hand revealed a large, menacing dagger that was put to the traderman's throat. Now they both were on the same train of thought as to what had to be done to save the trader's life. It was these people that would soon lead to one of the greatest stories foretold in the Caribbean....and your the main character. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter II is now Open! To Begin: At least THREE pirates must ask Del to begin the Quest, in which then the Quest will begin. |
I shall be on later... Going to see Despicable Me.... :D

Mission 9 - Under Spanish Rule
"ĦAlto!" screamed a loud voice from the edge of the balcony. There stood a figure dressed in a long, dark brown coat and a wide, black hat. He had an intimidating look on his face, but not as intimidating as the blunderbuss he had pointed at your face. "Drop the dagger, now!" Lawrence look puzzled. He looked at the drunk, unconscious body of Avaricia slumped in his chair, then back at the guard. Part of him made him want to lunge and land the dagger in the intoxicated Pirate Lord. The other felt like throwing it at the guard. Either way, he felt like getting at something by now. Soon, his hopes got the best of him. Lawrence jumped desperately at the Pirate Lord, but as soon as he got off the ground, the guard fired. Lawrence was grazed by the spot in the back on the thigh, but it hurt him so much so that he missed his shot, his body slaming on the floor near Avaricia and his dagger launching out of his hand, over the rail, off the tower, and in to the shallow water nearby. By this point, if the Pirate Lord hadn't woken by now, he must've been killed by another assassin already. He peered through his hazed gaze down to floor, where he shook his head a few times before he recollected it was an "old friend" of his. By the sight of Lawrence, he immediately grabbed a rum bottle nearby and smashed it on the table, most likely meaning to stab the Captain. In impulse, you charge at Avaricia and plow right in to him, knocking his chair over and both you and him on the floor. You kneel over him beaten, pain torn body in pride, until you feel the cusp of a blunderbuss against the back of you head. "So much for being a hero, eh? Get up." The guard hissed in a deep Spanish accent. You get up slowly and are forced backwards towards the group. Lawrence is then escorted the same way, and then finally Avaricia is helped up by his guard. He brushes himself off, and looks around at us. "Well, so I'm guessing you tried to kill me, eh? Not too smart. But what can I say, when you have that scum bag as a leader." Avaricia gestured to Lawrence, which was responded with by an attempt to attack the Pirate Lord. Fortunately, Lawrence was held back. "Hmpf, my point proven. Well, either way, time for you to die." He pulled out a pistol and aimed it at Lawrence. Then, a look of instant genious hit his face. "Unless...." "Unless what?" One pirate perked up, disgruntled. The pirate smiled. "Your going to do a little work." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Objective: Gain a score of 7500 or more fighting for the Spanish. *Must be accompanied by myself* |
this objective may take awhile :D

Ok, so to get this over with fast, how about we all do it together? Can we do that, Del? If so, I would like to coordinate the date and time of the SvS domination.. :piratewheelgo2::sailr:

Mission 10 - Pirates in Rebellion
The exhausted group of pirates, covered in soot and sweat, dragged their feet up the tall walkway on to Avaricia's tower. The pirate lord was lying back in his chair, feet propped up atop the wooden railing as he watched the battle between his and Porc's forces as if it was a puppet show. He was smiling, in a silent laugh, until he realized we were there. He turned his head, and the corners of his mouth plummeted. He sat their stupefied for a minute, then forced a fake smile as if he had just sent an assassin to have us killed. But then, you wouldn't have been surprised. "Aha, I'm impressed, never thought I'd see you again." The pirate chuckled to himself. Lawrence walked over in a commanding fashion. "We had a deal. Where is it?" "Wheres wha... Ah, yes, 'the cargo.'" Avaricia chuckled to himself. "You should know better of me than to strike a deal with me." Lawrence took a step foward, intent to kill, but Avaricia already prepared himself by keeping a pistolin his lap, now pointed at the Captain. "Now, you will leave my island, or you'll be leaving this Earth." By this point, Avaricia was on the verge of collapsing on the floor with a heart attack out of happiness. He shooed Lawrence away with his free hand, and the captain slowly walked backwards, his unholy glare locked on to the pirate. As we turned and walked down the ramp, Avaricia called out "Oh, and thank you for the help!" And we could hear him laughing wildly from behind. We touched down on to the soft grass below. As if reading our minds, Lawrence assured us "Don't worry, I know who to talk to.." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ Objective: Speak with Delmaria Darkskull |
Mission 13 - The Riddler
Lawrence was the first to reach the deck of the tower. The instant he caught a glimpse of the pirate lord, he jumped off his feet at high speed, and landed his shoulder in to the back of Avaricia, who was scanning the island as his guards ran about in chaos. His face was the the first thing that hit - the table in front of him, that is. Lawrence, who was still at top speed, was flung over the table, and landed on his back on the floor behind the table. He seemed to be shying in pain, but his pure rage got the better of that. He scuttered to his feet quickly, picked up the wooden chair nearby, and swung it over the table, crashing it in to Avaricia's left temple, who was hunched over the table checking his mouth. The force sent his in a jerk to the railing, where he fell just short of it on to the floor. He looked dazed, scared, almost like he was on the losing side of a bar fight, which was really how Lawrence was handling this. You all had managed to reach the deck by the time Lawrence had pretty much ran around the table to confront Avaricia. You watched quietly as Lawrence kicked Avaricia off his side, where his face lied in a pool of his own blood, and knelt on top of him to confront the pirate lord. He gripped one of the pirate's shirts and drew him close to his face. "Enough with your games, where the hell is the cargo!" Avaricia spit up a little blood, but Lawrence just took that as a time waster, so he slapped the pirate straight across the face. "Answer!" Avaricia coughed more, but forced an answer in between them "It's... It.. I sold.. it.." Lawrence sat there dumbfounded, then had realized what the pirate said. So he dragged the pirate closer and whispered to the beaten, defeated face in a deep tone, "What did you say..." "You think your the only one who wanted it?" Avaricia responded in short, rapid, exhausted bursts. "It gave me too much trouble... I had it put out on the market..." Lawrence stood up, but not without sharing a few choice words, and then beating the pirate with his boot a little more. He stormed down the tower, back towards the beach. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ "What do you mean you can't give it to us?!" Lawrence screamed at the scared little man, obviously intimidated by the disgruntled group of pirates surrouding him. "I simply can't!" Marsh attempted to explain. "I'm pretty sure you wouldn't even be able to pay the asking price!" Lawrence looked as though he was challenged to a duel. "Oh really? Then why don't you just tell me what it is.." He whispered in his rough mix between an English and French accent. "It sure doesn't look like those pocket's can boast two-hundred seventy-five thousand gold pieces!" Marsh exclaimed as though his answer gave him confidence. You all stand there stunned as if something had blown up in your face. What could be such a value that it surpasses the value of any ship by so much? Seeing as Lawrences, now calm, mistified face, Marsh saw this as a door to continue. "Besides, we already have somebody willing to buy it." "Who?!" Lawrence instantly asked awoken up from his daze. "Oh, now your really asking me to go beyond my bounds! I can't tell you who bought what, that goes far beyond my bounds as a fair-minded trader. Word gets out, and it'll ruin my whole business!" Marsh protested, throwing his hands up in the air, for a brief moment, he was confident in himself.. until he saw Lawrence's pistol. "Uhh, ok ok ok! No need to get all excited! Marsh tried to recover the mood frantically. "Well, I can't exactly tell you who it is... but I can... tell you." And Marsh's face lit up as though he held the answer to the secret of life. "What?" One of the pirates chimed in? Marsh grabbed a piece of paper and wrote down what looked like a small paragraph. He shoved it in to Lawrences hands, and gently pushed him away. "Theres all you'll need... now go! Your scaring my customers!" He hurried us out, and slammed the door at our backs. We looked down at the paper. We had no idea what it was, which was pointed out by one pirate saying "What is it?" Lawrence tightened his eyes as he glanced closer. "... A riddle..." "On an island, of magma and fire, I proudly stand from its spire, Atop of sand, painted dark, The same shade as my wicked heart. Objective: Decipher the riddle, and post below who you believe the riddle depicts. When the correct answer is posted, the next task will be also. **ONLY ONE GUESS PER POST** |
