Question

Hi pirates of the Pirates online forums. A couple of days ago I was fighting general darkhart with a friend and when we both killed him I got the lost sword but she didn't We both hit the enemy, we both opened the chest but for some reason we got different things. Can anyone explain this?

People opening the same loot container do not receive the same loot.

As DavyD said, you mostly get different items when receiving loot. The loot drop is random for every single person, so it's unlikely you both will receive the same loot.
