When did the Body Changes happen?

I mean, I see pirates (Guy pirates, at least), that have a smaller waist and wider shoulders than any pirate you can make now, I noticed this when I tried to make a pirate look like my brother's (which is a couple of years old) and couldn't. I was just curious as to when this change might've happend.

Thanks!

they r the old pirates they made new body for the newer pirates so that u have some meat on the bones ( in my opinion)

But I thought Disney did a make over on the old and new? I know my original pirate's look and form has changed with one of the updates of late.

This happened quite some time now (don't remember how long, but not to long). I think that there is a thread on the News section here on POF about this.

I noticed this to. I look a little fat around other pirates.

I know! There have been many times my friends and I have complained about this. I have very broad shoulders and a very small waist.

The new bodies were released sometime summer of 2009 I believe. I'm not certain though. At least the old pirates get to keep their bodies, but if we want to make a new one, we have to use the new bodies.

The changes did occur last summer. At first it was just for new pirates, however they did try to make old pirates that way as well. However, once they messed with the design of the old pirates on Test, there were so many negative comments, and threats to quit the game that they decided to return old bodies to normal.

That being said, around that time I also noticed slight changes to my pirates body, but at least it isn't as bad as the awful looking model my pirate would have now.

I notice the girl pirates still have tiny wrists... how do they hold a broadsword with those things? :psmiley27:

I found it to be much easier to get a look I liked better with Emily Goldeagle (my new pirate) than with Catherine (who is my old pirate.) I prefer the new body changes to the old, frankly. Much easier to get a normal-ish looking pirate (at least for the girl pirates.)

I have ALWAYS hated the new body styles. I haven't made a baby pirate because of them. I may make one on test who is intentionally short and round. Gonna name him Stumpy. Stumpy Greenteeth.

Disney decided it would be better as far as animation to make ugly looking pirates, and weird shaped bodies just to make it easier for them to animate things, so they made new body types.

Old body types were thrown out, but because so many people got upset, old body types weren't replaced with new ones.(Meaning, if you had an old body type, you got to keep it, but newer pirates you make will look different)

And they also told us that we may experience some animation problems with the old body types. Do I? No. Does my second, big pirate with an old body type? No.

Whatever they did, it was a waste, they should have just added the four new body types, no replace the old.

Body changes occurred like August 2009 about the same time the notoriety got bumped to 50

Yep, my big pirate, Jason Suncutter looks like he never eats. Skinny as a rail. That's why he always wears jackets...
