Staff of Mists
 

I was really curious about this "Staff of Mists" that was in the test release notes. There wasn't any information about it, so I decided to send Disney a little "inquiring minds" type of question:

"Ahoy Pirates Online!! I was just curious about the TEST server release notes for June 22, 2010. The last bullet point states 'Fixed an AI crash when using the aura from the Staff of Mists.' What exactly is the Staff of Mists? Thanks in advance!! -Mac"

They responded with this:

"There are many new weapons in the Caribbean due to the release of the Lost weapons of El Patron. One of these weapons is the Staff of Mists, a staff which players who attain level 30 Notoriety can begin to wield. This staff has a special aura it puts around the player to helps those around him."

Has anyone found this staff?, and if so, please post a screenie!!

Don't all the new staves bought from the gypsies have that ability?

Very interesting! I wonder if it will be the next Legendary weapon to be released, or perhaps a Famed Relic? An inquiring mind wants to know!

If they are fixing it, don't you think that somebody would have it? Sounds fishy to me if they are fixing a staff that nobody has...

Then again, if you remember it said they fixed the Bloodfire Cutlass way back, and I was one of the few confirmed to get it after a while. Who knows, all I have are common staves.

Off topic: I wonder when the new looted daggers will come...

Well, yeah, but the point is that I've never heard of this weapon. Also, they posted that new Voodoo dolls were released, but nothing about staves.

Aye, Daggers too I believe got three yesterday while fighting Timothy Dartan I remember there was a Brigand's Dagger, Gravedigger's Dagger and I can't remember the other.

Aye, I've gotten those daggers before. I'm not sure that those are some of the "new" ones, but maybe D decided to make dagger finds more frequent. Not quite sure about anything anymore. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Staff of mists? I tried looking it up but found nothing.

Staff of Mists... Sounds semi-divine... Some weapons dropped by the gods or left behind by the demons...

Uh, never heard of the staff. Hey James, what about the Bloodfire cutlass? I got one of those, never had an issue with it.

No, you misunderstood me, I meant that in the test release notes a while back, it meantioned a bloodfire cutlass fix, and nobody at that time had it... a week later I got it, and everyone was shocked I even found it. Then the drops increased... etc.
