Ships not dropping much Gold Anymore??
 

For the past few days the ships, any of the fleets, are not dropping much gold at all. I brought down 3 phantom ships and only got 50 gold! I am level 27 sailing now and last night after bringing down an EITC Ironwall and a level 21 flag ship I got only a whopping 10 gold. Is there a reason for this? Do we stop getting much gold after reaching a certain sailing level?

:cat5: I think they tweeked the loot and drops again. On the thursday and friday, I noticed a decline in the value, quality and quantity of all plunder both land and sea.

Positive note if I got a skull chest, it was quite good.

Thanks for the response Gingeeann. That is disappointing because I love to go out sailing to get the gold. Saving up for a War Frigate and if I cant get good value out sailing then my idea is sunk.. :(
I dont think I have ran across a skull chest yet, glad you got some!

I have not noticed ANY change.

Notoriety + sailing level / 2 = yellow enemy ship level

(That is, the ships are red/yellow/green/gray just like enemies - they just don't show it!!!)

When you attack gray level enemy ships, you get rat droppings. Attack higher level ships and you will be getting your expected booty.

I got a pretty decent amount of gold today. 27something from Greyhounds and sentinels off of Cuba. I haven't seen any decrease.

I haven't seen any decrease - because lame stuff is all I've ever gotten from sailing ( Except my first sailing globe, which was a Common type, greeeeeaat..... ).

I've never actually gotten anything that good while sailing - not even from the Fleets themselves, never getting a Loot Skull Chest - so I wouldn't know if Disney fixed/tweaked the drops or not.

I was sailing today (yesterday) with a friend and got 2 skulls on 2 ships in a row. I got a New World Map (rare) and a rare piece of clothing. Not bad, if you ask me.

Do you have any skill points in treasure sense, that helps a lot.

I didnt know there was such a thing as "treasure skills" so maybe that is my problem?? I will look and see if I can figure out how to find and work on those. Thanks!

I have three skill points in treasure sense and have a + 1 with the sea charm. My loot drops were awful almost all cargo crates from warlords, orges and flags. I usually do better than that with just 3 points in treasure sense.

I have max treasure sense and a +3 Golden Charm for a total of 8. I have been getting less loot type drops overall. The amout of Royals is about the same. Now the fleet is a different story.

I have helped sink 3 Navy fleets, and as of last night 3 EITC fleets. I got crates from the ships of the line on all of them, no loot drops what so ever. So what happend to the update that was suspose to give better drops?

I really do think this comes and goes.

The other night, hitting flagships - I found my ONE and ONLY relic to date. We had been hitting Colos for a while and then got a Skull Chest. Lo and behold, I pull out a Gatling Repeater...

I do feel like the Fleet Boss ship has not been as generous lately. Often prefer to port after downing a bunch of the escorts so we won't lose a lot of loot should we the boss get lucky on us.

Was out sailing with Eric McRage this morning and was getting plenty of gold although i don't really keep track i have no use for gold anymore...

Word has it if you go over the limit of 5 you decrease your chances back to 1. NObody has tested this yet though.

I have tested it, the more points the better the drop.
