Avatars

I am really confused. I have seen people upload their own avatars. But when I try to, there is no button that says "Upload Custom Avatar" but it says I can upload one. Any advice?

Go to your User Control Panel, then click on "Edit Avatar". This screen should come up:

At the bottom, you can choose an image from your personal files:
