Was Rott telling the truth? May 26, 2010

Everyone knows that ever since the tragic incident that led to Rat's Nest, Captain Ezekiel Rott has been thirsting for revenge against Captain Walter. And it seems like he may have finally gotten his chance to get even with the Marceline leader.

Captain Walter's ship, The Magic was recently found drifting off the coast of Outcast Isle by Xavier Hench and Ben Bowman. They bought the ship over to Cuba where Sandra Tew's inspection showed her disturbing visions of a fierce sword fight between Rott and Captain Walter. With various reports of mysterious sightings of Captain Walter's ghost, many Pirates were worried about the dear Captain's fate.

Tia Dalma used her powerful voodoo magic to help the Marceline guild locate the deceitful Rott. Aided by other helpful Pirates, they were able to interrogate Rott about the whereabouts of Captain Walter. Surround by strong Pirates, Rott finally confessed to stowing away on Captain Walter's ship one night and challenging him to a sword fight. It was that fateful fight which led to the unfortunate demise of our beloved Captain Walter!

It is with heavy hearts that we give our farewell salute to the late Captain Walter. He will be remembered by all for his unwavering support and devotion to Pirates' freedom everywhere!

I don't think he's dead, or at least remaining that way. Either way.. will be interesting to find out.

Jamesvsthekraken 05-27-2010 12:56 AM

They just "stated" he is dead even Member Services stated that he is dead, he has passed on and that there is nothing we can do. Unless..... unless he has pulled a Whodeani which would be cool. :)

Sven Osymthe 05-27-2010 01:06 AM

Yes, but it is just part of the story. There's always a possibility it can change. Nothing about it is really set in stone..

Juliana Maria 05-27-2010 01:21 AM

Member Services? Wait, you don't mean you e-mailed them asking about the story quests and such right?

Jamesvsthekraken 05-27-2010 01:58 AM

No I said Poor Captain Walter yada yada yada is he really dead? etc.

Juliana Maria 05-27-2010 02:04 AM

James I admire your curiosity, but I assure you it is makes it much more fun not knowing. Best to leave Member Services for handling issues and taking requests, not to ask 'what's the scoop' on the latest and upcoming events. I understand your eagerness, I do, but sometimes the things we want most are worth the wait, aye? M.S. won't give you any answers anyhow. Even if they do know what the developers are up to (which I am doubtful about), they will most likely not reveal much more than we already know. Keep up the positivity, but savor the wait as well... It makes the outcome all the more worthwhile. ;)

As for the thread though... I don't know what to think. Like Sven said, it will be interesting to see where it's all heading. I see this all leading up to something. But I can't imagine what that something could be. We've already had a face-off with Roger with the invasions... The supposed New Islands have to be involved in the story somehow as well. There seems to be an increased interest in ghosts and voodoo. I don't know! And I think that's what I like most of all. It's like reading a good book, only this time I can't cheat and skip ahead lol :)

I believe Tia will go voodoo all over Walter to make him come back to life lol...

KeeperOfTheCode 05-27-2010 12:36 PM

Mmm... Me thoughts are that he be gone for good, or will be brought back as a ghost (Like good ol' Constance) for the last battle with Roger. He will be defeated, have his power drained, (Used to bring back poor Walter) and finally be placed on one of the new Islands, diminished, a shadow of his former self. He'll be a weakened, but still powerful, boss; he'll be raising new minions to protect himself every few seconds. (Brings in the new enemies) His level will no longer be ??, since that shows unfathomable power, but rather an alert, something like this. !!

Please be aware that the above comments are probably not true and I never thought they were. Walter is either dead or dying, and I'm not ashamed to say I'm not all that dissapointed. (Fought him once; he actually wasn't that good with the cutlass...:laughks2:) He was a character in a story, and therefore expendable in the overall plot. Now if they were to say Jack Sparrow had been killed, I'd be thinking that something's a little off here... I'm simply opening doors for speculation, like I tend to do.

Speedway Master 05-27-2010 12:57 PM

Rott would be easier to kill if he didn't have his godly invisibility power with him. >_>

Bartholomew Foulsteel 05-27-2010 01:11 PM

Personally, I'm kind of glad Walter's gone. Now if only we could do something about the rest of the Marcelline guild....

The Skirata Clan 05-27-2010 02:57 PM

I am 100% with you Mr. Foulsteel. At least Rott pays.

The Evil Will Mcbain 05-27-2010 05:11 PM

I'm telling you, we're going to have to rescue him from the Locker . . .

Dog Firestack 05-27-2010 08:59 PM

I second you Mr. foulsteel
