Epic Fail

They have already introduced (as I write) all the minigames, etc onto Live.
Epic fail.

I don't get what you mean because they probably havent found any bugs, not everything is bad you know?

ex8404 05-15-2010 11:34 AM

Seriously Eeyore. Unless you are talking about a total server melt-down, the mini-games are OK. Not great but OK.

Potion making is addictive but the ship thing, not so much. It IS useful to repair at sea though...

What is so "Epic Fail" (thanks a bunch, Internet) about the mini-games?

The Skirata Clan 05-15-2010 05:07 PM

Maybe Mr, 93rd doesn't like Mario Party, I mean, POTCO mini-games as much as others.

angel 4ever 05-15-2010 08:35 PM

ya its not all bad but the server thing not great haha but the games r ok :)

Nate Swordwalker 05-15-2010 09:03 PM

I wouldn't call it as much of an epic fail, but more of a rushed update. They put these on open WAY to fast. Yeah, they have some good potions. But are they really the BEST things to put out right now? Are they going to change the game drastically? I think they could have thought more about the potions they were putting out.

Catherine_Wildfury 05-15-2010 09:14 PM

The potions, though I love to play it, were a bit irritating during the invasion when people just wanted to mess with potions and sit there burpin and farting. Otherwise, I'm happy for the games. They're fun and a bit of a break from all the leveling while stayin in-game. Yeah, more of an excuse to play 24/7.

Edward Edgemenace 05-15-2010 09:35 PM

I agree. Epic fail Disney.

The double-speed potions work while sailing and DO cause total server lockup for all other players. Instead of even TRYING to put heartbeat code in to catch people using cheat hacks, they add more for additional server instability. Rocket scientists, eh?

Instead of adding myriad social control features, they antagonize the community with fart potions. Yes, farts are funny now - for a minute. Funny after an hour? Nope.

Sure, the mini-games themselves were tested a little, but the exploits from the resulting potions haven't even been scratched yet. At this point, glitching a potion to infinite duration is still rather simple, but I can't agree that that is a good thing.

Yes, epic fail big-D.

Nelly Darkpaine 05-16-2010 12:08 AM

I logged on for about 5 minutes last night, and after seeing all totally dead servers, aside from those using Fart potions, I remembered why I dont play anymore. The game, IMO is officially dying - and those friends of mine who still DO play are saying the same. =(

Farewell POTCO, I think this games journey is almost at its end.

The Skirata Clan 05-16-2010 12:11 AM

I disagree with you Nelly. The game was dead for a while. They are desperately trying to save it and salvage as much as possible.

Captain Del 05-16-2010 12:36 AM

I hardly think these mini-games are an epic fail. Heck, they are pretty fun! Sure, they may be glitched up a bit, but you can expect that from every update, no matter how long they are tested. I'm sure they'll be fixed soon enough. After all, how long has it been on Open? 2 days, at most?

I completely disagree. Just because you lost interest in the game, doesn't mean its dead, nor is it even dying. The game has seen a SPIKE in activity over the past few weeks. I've seen more pirates on than ever. And with such rapid development in the game, it seems as though those things we have been wanting for so long are just off on the horizon. If this game is dying, then I can't imagine what it would be like if it were healthy!

Nate Swordwalker 05-16-2010 12:59 AM

Del, ye make a great point. The game's population has increased drastically over the past few weeks. If the game is dead now, what WOULD it look like if it were healthy?

MacIronhawk 05-16-2010 01:46 AM

The potions are addicting, and repairing ships is now actually entertaining. However, potions was better on test than it is now on open. They took away a lot from test, and it's such a waste.

I like the increases in speed, weapon damage increases, etc... but they need to fix all these speed glitch bugs first.

Also, all the problems you guys are talking about... I haven't experienced. My game works just fine. Same as always. Maybe this is because it has a lot of memory, and good for gaming.

Anyways, the game isn't dead or dying. They still have millions of players, and once the second story quest comes out, the game will get on rolling again.

HOWEVER, they need to work their butts off. It's taken way too long to get out new content. Disney needs to hire more developers.

Tom SwordRage 05-16-2010 02:20 AM

i dont like the new updates so much because the internet connection failure thing and the repetiveness of the potions

The Evil Will Mcbain 05-16-2010 04:20 AM

I like that Cuba finally got some traffic, lol.
