Rum Task Not Completing
 

Yet another bug, hopefully someone who's completed this will have some answers for me:

On my lists for making the different rums it's leaving out one task for each type; like to make dark rum it says 3 out of 4 complete - I have molasses, water and vanilla - but the fourth task isn't even listed, so I can't complete it. Same for two more types, I have 5 out of 6 but it won't show the 6th task.

Due to this I have a bunch of uncompleted (although it looks completed in the list) tasks which I can't clear from my journal. I also seem to remember the gypsy saying something about those creepy trees, so that could be what's not showing in the list for at least one; but I can't remember where I saw the trees to test it out.

I'm having the same problem with dark rum, singapore rum, and skeleton rum.

Did you guys ever get those quests straightened out? I am also on this quest now with the same problem. My book has a long list of completed quests that Im not able to turn in. Was it the tree stump quest that was left out?

Nope, it's still bugged. And the only other task I could work on is now bugged too.

I tried taking out a couple of stumps, and no word was mentioned regarding my tasks...just showed that I defeated it like any other enemy.

I've sent reports on this, they told me they'd fix things in another update but nothing's changed yet. I've started two more characters in the meantime since there's nothing to do on the big one.

Hmmm ok...I sure am glad we can post on here-otherwise Id be very confused. At what point were you entirely unable to work on quests? I guess Ill just have to work on building up my weapons and forget about quests for awhile. Although, being a "quest" driven pirate it will become frustrating.

Half the time I speed a little too quickly through what the quest givers are saying and then kick myself afterwards when a bug happens since I didnt pay close enough attention. Like you I recall something being said about a tree stump and it being very difficult. Also, just before it seems I was sent to talk to Will Turner but he didnt actually give me a quest or send me to talk to anyone else. Did you have that too?

Well the first part of bugdom started with the rum tasks...and like you I fly through things so fast I didn't even notice I wasn't given the complete task until I tried to turn it in, and when nothing was happening I finally noticed the 4/5, 5/6 thing.

I'm also bugged on Fernando's chores, it only lists 2/3 of the items in that quest.

The final bug which just started is on Gil Derga - Round up Keys. I need to win at blackjack but no game will accept my bid; and if I try to join from lookout rather than walking to a table I get sent to the PVP area.

I really wanted to keep working on this character to see where the game leads, I love working tasks and seeing the accomplishments at the end of a playing session; just working weapons doesn't do it for me, so I've started the other characters - who by the way have no issue on tasks yet, and can play blackjack with no problems. So it's not my pc like they claimed in the beginning.

I don't remember if I had to see Will Turner recently on this one, I really don't think so - but I've been to him for my dagger quest on the little pirate so I could be confusing them.
