Invasion Solo
 

I just had the most awesome invasion solo.

Stats:

Today 5/13/10 @ 1230 PST

Location.- Port Royal invasion

Server.- Antiaro (Empty minus an AFK basic lv 9)

Crew.- Solo (AFK basic lv 9 guy that died while still AFK) Rest his soul.

Pirate.- Dmitri Seafarer II (I'm a level (By the time you read this 48) with fully mastered weapons)

Brigades destroyed.- Four (4th brigade) Made it all the way to the Mansion's steps.

Casualties.- I was KO'd once. Lv 9 basic AFK guy died by the explosion of a keg carrier early in the fight.

Weapons.- A brief use of a rifle and a blunderbuss at the beginning then the rest with my powerful staff for all of the skely brigades.

For Jolly Rogers, I very briefly used the fire arms and staff and then I used the Grand pistol with hex eater shot for about 90% of the fight, that's probably what made me make it through it.

Life saver: Edward Shackleby, sitting on a bench in front of the Mansion. If it wasn't for this NPC's healing capabilities I would have never made it!

It was a personal record, I typically do invasions in empty servers, my personal record was 3 pirates, until now. This solo invasion was FUN !!! I ran from beach to beach then barricade to barricade like a mad man! Facing Jolly Roger almost by the mansion with full health on his part and nobody to help you was disheartening at first, I thought I'd never make it,,,

I'd done a solo Invasion myself, and it was then that I found out Keg Runners are not set to automatically KO you ( -1/2 of my health for me. Abassa PKRs destroy everything ).

It's great to challenge yourself to do things you wouldn't think you could do - like soloing the Boss Battle, though now that the Level cap is Lv50, it's way too easy - also because the Boss Battle ITSELF is quite easy.
I'd also challenged myself to soloing Remmington The Vicious when the Level cap was Lv40. I lost the first time, but won the second - it shows how determination can get you places ( Like how you were determined to solo the Invasion ).

Soloing invasions are now tough. It is only because of keg runners. Way to go though you are accomplishing great things and I've done this before. Now do the BB with only round shot :D And solo an expedition fleet only broadsiding and you're a champion.

...its a lot of fun, i jump servers to do it...but I kept my baboon cutlass and repeater sose I don't get knocked down/out..only won a couple of times with a few basics...if they would only heal...lol...or go to jail and run back...instead of lying and screaming in agony for help...but they will learn :)

I would've never thought to use the healing from Edward...

Not only Edward!!! Also from the NPC Navy guard posted right outside the jail in Port Royal, you can stay close enough to heal and mow off everyone at the barricade right across.

Same with Cassandra around the corner from the back beach, at the pier of Fuegos, Tortuga, all of those NPC's will heal you but only when you have damage otherwise they will say something odd like "There be spies around, savvy!?"

Use the NPC during invasions! They are lifesavers!!! Some merchants like gypsies will not heal you but recharge your voodoo and of course sell you disgusting tonics.

One more thing, I just found out yesterday, that if you do an invasion alone, and I mean ALONE, don't go pass the 3rd brigade, let the second brigade breach all the way to the mansion, that will deploy Jolly Roger himself and it will be WAY easier to win alone.

I didn't know that when I fought alone but I'm glad that they got to the mansion, that's prolly what saved me from getting mowed by all the skellies...

Hmm that is interesting Seafarer. Just yesterday I did an invasion with a friend. Only the 2 of us. Twas fun, and we won. :D

WTG matey. Everyone should solo it at least once - good fun (and yo, WAY harder when basic!) I know Jinsai had a youtube of her first solo only a couple days after the very first invasion.

To anyone else out there that hasn't soloed it yet, keep trying! It is worth the satisfaction. (And yes, the hardest part, is finding a server you can have to yourself!)

Best I have ever done was me and me on two computer before the keggers came into play. Have not tried it since. Nice Job there too you got me beat.
