lvl 20 voodoo staff quest
 

Has anyone not received the vile staff quest upon reaching level 20 staff? I reached level 20 staff the day after the big weapons update and never did get my quest. I didn't have a problem with any of my other weapons quests. My pirate is level 37 with unlimited access and I have already received the harrow staff from completing the level 15 quest. I have no quests in my journal at all.

I think there was a problem with the journal after the update. You might want to contact Disney if it is not fixed the next time you log on.

My question is... is there any point to doing the upgrade quests when so many of the new weapons are so powerful?

It seems that the level 20 quests do not automatically appear. I thought that they were done away with until this morning. Was on Test playing, my live pirates all have the upgrades, and found the quests for the grand pistol and the pirate blade. My test pirate can not use either one of these yet but he can get the quest. I haven't found the one for staff yet, but Shochett Prymme and Roland Raggert on Padres both have the pistol and cutlass quests. I'd visit some of the gypsies and just look around for different NPCs with quest icons above their heads. You're bound to find it. In the meantime I'll keep an eye out for you.

I leveled up my pistol to twenty the other day, and also, I didn't get the update quest. I thought they decided to get rid of them since there are so many other weapon options.

...aye...but Disney, if ye be listening,,, the quests provide an alternative for gaining rep.....if I had young kids...I'd want them to quest...:)

I appreciate all the information. I know the quest is probably not worth it as far as the weapon goes with all the new stuff but I just kind of wanted to do the quest anyways. I have already completed all the other weapons quests and it would be a feeling of accomplishment to me to have all of them completed. I already contacted Disney about it and hoping that the problem will be resolved. In the mean I'll be checking around the game for the quest. Thank you for your help.

Well I got on earlier and the quest was in my journal. I guess Disney finally fixed whatever the problem was. Once again thanks for all the information.

John something, and npc in tortuga, now gives out the weapon quests. No wait, maybe it's hendry cutts, its the guy shopping wood in tortuga, go talk to him.

he doesn't give out the weapon quests... that was a glitch a while back where every NPC gave out the level 20 quests.
