PM actully private?
 

I have been wondering if admins or mods can see what people are pming to each other?

HECK NO. Disney monitors everything. Or else you wouldnt get in trouble for PMing email addys, chat names, etc. The mouse watches ALL! BWA HA HA!!

Private Messages are exactly that, private. We can't see anything that goes on in PMs, but that doesn't mean that rules should be broken just because we aren't able to see it. Just like posts, PMs have report buttons that can be used to report bad behavior, and should be used if such a case should arise. :mickeypiratezd4:

I'm not entirely sure.. since private messages are supposed to be private. I think they only check when a message is reported.

If you haven't noticed, POF is a privately owned fansite of POTCO. It's not owned by Di$ney. If we did, I'm sure we could afford much kewler features.:laughks2:

When a PM is reported, it generates a reports so all mods and admins can view the PM. Then we can handle whatever the situation is going on. Just like any post being reported.

PM should remain private. Besides, who'd want to sit here reading all the stuff people send each other all day. How boring would that be? :bookishfj7:

....but if ye be talking about on potco..in game...they do monitor pms/whispers...and the bushes have ears and eyes lol...

Actually private messages can be read by anybody who has access to the ACP (Administrator Control Panel). My friend has his own vBulletin and he has told me that you can do it and in fact has read pm's from my inbox word for word.

You have to install a plugin to make that happen. Something we never bother to do. I have better things to do with my time.

LOL (about the joke). Okay now about your point.... GMs probably can only hear/see whispers if they're in the locality of the whisperer. Even otherwise, these GMs can refer to all chat history in any case of report of violation of Code of Conduct.

LOL sorry if you misunderstood me. The first two lines was to you. The last line was for people in general (read previous posts) to not misunderstand that POF is private.
