Everything's different...
 

A few months ago, (maybe a year, who knows), I logged into my account for the forums, and Richard and Sarah both said they would help me figure out what had happened to my account... Well, now I still have only Richard listed on my account as a friend and none of my pirates... Anyone know how to change that back without having to start over???? Any responses are greatly appreciated!

Secondly, I had recieved a test server invite, (don't lemme lie, it's actually what got me wondering about the game again), but it told me to log on into it through my ORIGINAL account. So I did. Has it just been that long since I played that I lost ALL my pirates???? EVEN JADE?!?!?!?!?!? Or is there a way to get those back????? Again, any responses are greatly appreciated!

I can't say what happened to your POF account but if you logged into the test server for the first time, then it is normal to have no pirates. When you are on the test server, your pirates there are completely separate from your original pirates. I imagine if you log onto the live server, your pirates will still be there. On the test server, you have to start from scratch, but it is a privilege to be there and you need to expect that sometimes things will not work right (fill out a bug report when they don't) and sometimes your progress will be set back a few days and you may have to redo a few things.

Test is completely different from Live. They won't delete your Live pirates, ever, unless you have done something to be removed from the game - terminated account, etc. Having Test is like having another Live account (although they are using the same log in info). On Test, you have 4 individual pirates, but none of them are connected to your live account - so pretty much you can have 8 pirates between the two.

I think the mods need to take care of your account here. If it still exists, they should be able to give it back to you. PM Sarah, and possibly Batleth, and ask them.

Like everyone has said, test server starts you from scratch, but your pirates should still be on live.

Thanks for all the answers! Thanks to the mods, or whoever is behind the computers that get my e-mails here, the POF stuff got fixed right away! :)

And thanks to everyone's responses about the test servers :) I was mostly baffled because I had to download the game (different computer than a year ago), and i thought I would no longer be able to go back to live. :)

And, the semester is almost over, so I will be back- Only part-time for now...

(thought Jess deserved her own separate post, not that I forgot about her or anything ;) )
