Where do you buy clothes in the game?
 

And do you need membership to buy them?

You can buy clothes at The Tailor Shops on any of the main islands such as: Port Royal, Tortuga, Cuba, and Padres del Fuego. Unfortunately, for the time being they are only allowed for unlimited access members. So, yes you would need a membership.

I've heard that with the new update, basics can change some of their clothes, but we'll see.

As the others have said, you need membership to buy clothing in a tailor. However with this new update, basics will be able to change clothing, but only to what they find in loot sacs and treasure chests. That is unless basics changing is being fixed.. which I doubt it is.

New updates might let basic change into common or crude clothes. I don't know because i'm not basic sorry.

On the Test server, before it closed, I could change SOME of my clothes. I can't buy any from the shops though, but I can wear and take off some that I plunder from loot sacs. I can't wear the coat or hat I had from the beginning of the game though. But still, I get to change into some clothes at least!

It is nuts you have to run around in your underwear now if you are Basic. Quite a shock when you haven't played for a while then log in to find you're standing on Tortuga in your skivvies.

where i buy clothes is at either padres or cuba.. since the have alot of rare clothing :p

seriously though...I buy them at padres :)
