Major test glitch. Caution.

If you log on to test you stand a major chance of losing all of your weapons, clothes and gold. I did.



No idea if it is permanent or temporary but if it turns out to be permanent, you guys might want to stay away until it's fixed.

You're lucky then. My pirate is now wearing only his boxer shorts. He also has a Rusty Cutlass (those are free at any blacksmith) that causes no damage. Fun stuff.

Gotta remind myself I am a Tester and this stuff sort of just happens.

Yep I can officially say this is happening to everyone, I don't even think you have to log in to trigger it. Also, even if you get a rusty cutlass, which is the only remotely sensible thing to get after this next point, you lose everything again after you log off and on. Not to mention new things you get (if you don't mind that you will lose them again) don't go in your bag, with the exception of SOME items as i got clothes and a dagger. BTW if you don't want to lose your clothes, don't put any new clothes on because even though the clothes aren't in your inventory, they are still on your pirate. Sorry for the somewhat long post.

Keep in mind though this might be voluntary by Disney, maybe as their solution to some people exploiting or something, because when I tried to log in, it updated THEN logged me into the game when I found out my weapons were gone. This (to me) sounds like that update either had a HUGE bug in it that they didn't see (which doesn't make much sense) or it could be a voluntary wipe.
I personally think that Disney will give us our stuff back once they sort it out, even if their motive was to wipe the system, because they will be realizing that taking away all progress doesn't equal much money lol.

i have lost all my weapons... i can not buy any since i am basic. CRIES OUT LOUD

I've logged in and out several times today. First time we had basic weapons for my son's pirate, so I tried to rearrange them. However, doing this cause none of them to be able to be used. So I logged in and out a few times more doing the same thing till it clicked that there was a bug with moving inventory around. After logging in again and only removing two weapons, leaving two slots open incase we were to get a loot sac with a weapon, we were able to use the two left in the belt. Well, sort of. I found out that there was also a bug with attuning anything. So much for leveling doll this morning. We were also booted from game a few times. After the last time we lost everything. I tried to relog 3 more times and same thing. Seems that they made things worse with the update they did last night. I'm guessing that this wont get resolved till Monday some time, but the loss of inventory is just a bug as a result of last nights update.

For those who have no problem with inventory on their pirate YET:

My friend cautioned me that if you pick up a new weapon from the loot you plunder, your inventory will start going hay-wire if you log back in the next time. True enough, when i logged in this morning, my pirate had all her weapons fine, but as soon as i plundered a new weapon and logged back in, all my inventory are lost.

The only thing im equipped with now is a rusty cutlass which i got for free from blacksmith.

Now all I can do is to play other pirates that are not affected yet, and be cautious not to pick up any loot with weapons. :(

Same happened to me.... Had so many rare weapons like the witch hunter sabre, the EITC mercenary's sword. Had an ornate broadsword from the blacksmith and plus a heavy scattergun blunderbuss. During the glitch i found a holy pistol that I couldn't keep :( Big D better get this fixed quick cause it will effect the population really fast. I even tried switching servers from Amberassa and Lankgolia and no luck. Let's hope maintenance is going on tonight.

This happened to me yesterday. I crashed, logged back on, and had nothing but the clothes on my back. It did however fix immediately after logging back on.

live chat couldn't help me since this was a test server issue so they told me to send in a bug report

Random question btw, does anyone know since when was Live Chat back up and running? lol. I didnt know it was back zuz i thought it has been down for forever since linked account feature was taken away back in May 2009 when they could not handle the complains.

according to the log files not disney my security systems were conflicting that may mean somthing

I'm glad someone posted this, I came here looking to see if anyone had warned the people here. I did not lose my weapons b/c of collecting loot. This may be a cause for some, however... I had all my stuff and was sailing. I boarded a flag ship and as soon as I landed on the ship I saw I had no way to attack the enemies since I had no weapons! Oh, all I could do was run around, till they killed me. It was very sad. The other person in my crew did not lose her weapons... she lost hers upon entering Kingshead. It looks like everyone has lost them, and those that haven't, will if they log on.

I suggest to anyone who reads this and is curious about the mayhem on test right now, make a new pirate and go in with that. There is no GUARANTEE that all will be restored to our pirates that have lost everything... after all, it is test. Besides, everyone gets booted from the server every half hour anyway! Oh, and thank you Disney for rolling out an invasion while everyone just had rusty cutlasses... yea we won anyways.

I also found that during this glitch, you can launch from a privateer island, and then go around sinking all the little sloops that are in the ocean being sailed by fellow pirates. And this is a good way to repair your ship since you cant talk to the dockworkers!!!
