Help in main quest kingshead mercenaries
 

I am doing the black pearl quest and came to a part where i need to find and kill mercenaries in kingshead and i can't seem to find any mercenaries anyone know?:pirate2:

You can usually find a few Mercenaries at the very top of Kingshead (mind the Assasins.) Mercenaries are also very common in Beckett's Quarry, so you can go there if you don't want to take the long trip to and up Kingshead. If you need any help with the quest, just ask, or shoot me a PM. Yes usually there are very few Mercenaries at kingshead. I found mine in the town. But then sometimes you have to kill other guys just to make them spawn again.

you just have to go near the jail with an assasin guard in in. (go near the giant gate which looks like a big EITC office in kingshead that is cleverly disguised a jail, not some elaborate office of some high- positioned person.)

Was about to say, needing help to kill mercenaries is sort of sad. I have used characters of mine with a level 14 cutlass and level 19 notoriety to kill Mercenaries on Fort Charles. But yeah, you just have to pretty much kill and wait for them to appear.

If memory serves, this quest requires that you get mercenaries in Kingshead and nowhere else. So his problem is not killing the mercenaries, its finding them as there are very few of them to be found there. I believe that Mercenaries and hired guns alternate when they spawn. So if you can't find any mercenaries, kill some hired guns till they spawn as mercenaries.

it's the Assassins that sometimes spawn as mercenaries. get someone to kill those and mercenaries will spawn.

Thought I might have had those mixed up. Thanks for correcting it.

Edit: I found the source of my confusion. The Mercenary in Fort Charles can re spawn as a Hired gun or a grunt. On Kingshead they can re-spawn as assassins. In Beckett's quarry they only re-spawn as themselves. Are there any other location specific re-spawning pairs?
