Test Question!?
 

About 2 weeks ago I signed up for a test account!
I haven't gotten an email, they haven't even told me if I was denied. So a week ago I tried again and still haven't gotten anything.

Is there anything I missed about getting a test account?

Mate here's your answer to test servers. What happens is that you sign up and after maybe a half a year- a year you have to wait and if you do not get banned and have unlimited during the time they will send you an e-mail. I remember when I signed up and waited a half a year to get the e-mail with the install program with it. Just be patient and don't get banned and you will eventually get it.

I have applied many times, beginning last summer (2009) and never heard anything (yea or nay). In December I finally emailed them and asked them about it and their response was.. basically.. wait your turn..

I guess they must have plenty of people. There are a lot of people I talk to in game who have test pirates but they admit to me they never use them. It makes me jealous because I know if I had one I would use it.

The members of Black Bart's Krewe who have test pirates go on test every Monday and it makes me sad that I can't be a part of that.

I'm not 100% sure anymore, but I believe they had minor requirements to even be considered for test. Not being banned was the main one, but I believe you must be a member for a certain amount of time to be accepted.

Plus, when you sign up for test, you are put into a line pretty much. First come first serve, with who ever gets selected being based upon whatever factors Disney is looking at.

A while back, test was open to everyone. It was an attempt to get more testers. They closed that invite after a while... and oddly enough I got an official invite shortly after (around a year or so after I originally became unlimited).

When you aply for test, as Sven said, you are in a line. If you aply for test and do not make it you will not get an e-mail saying you did not make it, this is what happened too me. But you will get an e-mail saying you did get Test servers, this is what happened for my brother. And I stopped counting after three weeks went by so you will be waiting for more then a mounth at least. So just send in a aplication and if you do not get anything back after about 6 mounths or so, then send it again. And good luck to anyone that aplys =D.

Kat I wanted about half a year and I got the e-mail. I heard that some people are entering test without an invite. Really weird to me because you should be patient rather than just going on.

I just got an email from Disney inviting me to the test server, but I'm basic. I remember trying to sign up when I had a week of free unlimited, but I didn't think it would go through. Now I have an invitation. However, it's saying that if I terminate my Unlimited, my test server will be terminated too. What???

Try to get in, no harm trying, lol. How does the test server work anyway. Do you have to create a new pirate? Or a new account ? How does that go?

Yes yes they said on their website that only Unlimited Players get test, however, very fact is they do not terminate your test access even if you are basic :)
When you download the test launcher, just log in as normal.
(i have a basic account, never paid for it)


The account that has been given test access will have 4 free slots for you to make your pirates if you have a unlimited access account. Your current pirate on the "Live" game doesnt get transferred.
