Stickying Post

I know that the mods of each thread deside what should be kept, Deleted, or stickied. But what is it that mods look for, when looking to sticky a post?

Sticky threads are created by moderators or administrators, and remain 'stuck' to the top of the listing, even if they haven't had any posts recently. Member made threads can be deemed "sticky worthy" if these posts contain information that is important to everyone on the forum and need to be visible and accessible at all times. If you see a thread that is not stuck, and you think it deserves to be, PM a mod or admin with your request, and it will be reviewed.

We try to look for stickies that are worth everyone's time going to that specific forum to read that thread. So we look for as much fact and game info as possible. Opinionated threads almost never get stuck. Some threads get stuck just due to the large volume of views and/or replies by members of the site.

Also, there's been quite a few updates to the game over time. Some stickies may have gotten outdated info within them. If you create a thread to replace an old sticky, there's a good chance it'll get stuck.

Remember to keep an easy reading format to any thread you feel should be stuck. Keep things simple but full of facts. Images always help people out. Some are just more visual than others.

We try to encourage our users to make stickies as our mod staff rarely has the time to do a well thought out sticky. It helps everyone and the community with whatever info you are posting.

Not every thread is worth making a sticky. Mods and admins are the final judge on this. Posting "this is awesome! this should be a sticky!" on every thread isn't going to help that thread's chances. So don't waste your time or the mod's that'll clean up a mess like that on a thread. All you're doing is disrupting a thread's topic. But feel free to thank people for making certain threads. A little encouragement can go a long way.

If you feel a thread should be stuck:

Click on the reported post button on the first post of the thread. Explain why you feel this thread should be stuck. A mod will review the thread and make the judgment call on that.

You can also PM one of the mod staff and they'll review the thread. Please, include a url to the thread or exact thread title. We've got 100's of threads and trying to find 1 with vague info about it, is nearly impossible.
