Do you have favorite music you sail by?......

:psmiley35:I turn down the potco music in game and play me own favorites, which , right now is "Celtic Wonder", great sailing music, and I ordered "Rant" by the Wicked Tinkers, also celtic...and my dad gave me a cut of seventies rock, which I blend in sometimes....makes good battle music...my roomates just thought they knew the grifts...lol...now they do!:smiley-rpg028:

I listen to the POTC soundtracks, Metallica - whiskey in the Jar, several tunes by "Great Big Sea" and others. I will have to give Celtic Wonder a listen and see what I think. Thanks for the suggestion.

I kinna like sailing to "Kickstart My Heart" If ya don't know it-lyrics are about speeding on a cycle at about 103!

Others times when I'm feeling like a landlubber it's just "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay"

BTW-all the above is a complete fabrication...lolz I have a playlist that I listen to alot which doesn't include either song...

I am currently in My Conchords phase. But usually I set Itunes to random.

Dockwrecker The Privateer 03-05-2010 01:48 PM

I usually tune in to Venice Classic Radio on iTunes.

I listen to The Led Zeppelin Album Physical Graffiti cause Kashmirs the last track.(I think.) I also listen to Wishbone Ash Time Was, along with Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon, and Jimi Hendrix Axis Bold As Love. Those are some killer albums.(Sometimes I'll change things up and listen to the Melvins, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and The Black Crowes. Maybe even Saliva, it all depends on how I feel.)

;)I gotta check some of these out....Kickstart My Heart...to Pink Floyd(I love the wind ones on DSOTM), and I've heard a lot of ones mentioned...someone gave me some more old cds, like Joan Baez, America, the Doobies, Steppenwolf, and who sings "American Woman"? , listening to it right now... .and Nora Jones with "Chasing Pirates",,,so appropos I think....I am diverse for me age(a lil over 21 and a lot younger than 81;-) So keep listing the tunes...I plan on sailing alot and like to change it up a bit....

"American Woman" is by the Guess Who. Guess Who was a Canadian band that really busted into the Rock scene in the early 70's.

OFF TOPIC:
Wishbone Ash...have not heard that groups name in a longgggg time. Use to listen to their music quit a bit. Might even have to dust off the record player and pull their first album out and play it. Yep, still have a bunch of vinyl.
