My ideas for the game

For new content I was thinking of things that could seem exciting, but challenging so here are my ideas.

Jobs:
I was think that pirates could find a way to earn some gold to pay for ships, weapons, etc. so here are my job ideas.

Blacksmith Apprentice- Helps the blacksmith build swords and daggers by banging on the sword in certain spots several times until it is complete.

Bartender: Could pour drinks and serve them.

Cargo ship- This would require a new type of ship that could not be purchased at a shipwright. The ship would not have any cannons and be as fast as a Regular Frigate. The Sailor would then sail to a certain island and deliver the cargo.

Also included with jobs would be job exp. It would go up to 50, but would not count towards notoriety and the levels would just decide how much gold you get from the job.

New ships:
Iron-clad warships- The ships would have a huge amount of health and would make cannonballs obsolete, and would take only Explosives, Lightning, and Fury.
( Yes, I know that they weren't introduced until 1862, but we don't have lightning or magic either so it would be ok. )

The Cargo ship- This is for the Cargo ship job I suggested. The ship would have a low health, no cannons, and be moderately fast.

The Runner- This ship would be extremely fast, but armed lightly so it would only be good for getting to one place to another.

Multiple ship launching:
Some people have friends that are good sailors with regular or even light ships. So I suggest that you could give permission to Guildmates and friends to command your extra ships while your out sailing on your own and once the ship landed you would receive part of their plunder.

A new island:
I think the navy has better things to do than just sit in some forts so I suggest that the developers make an island where the navy and Eitc are held out in trenches and using cannons to fight colonists on an island that started a revolt and you would receive quests to help out either or you could just fight enemies of either side

New enemies:
Militia Private- lv 23
Militia Sergeant- lv 26
Militia Sergeant major- lv 30
Militia Lieutenant- lv 35
Militia Captain- lv 38
Militia Major- lv 40
Militia Colonel- lv 44
Militia Brig. General- lv 46
Militia Major General- lv 48
Militia Lt. General- lv 49
Militia General- lv 50
Militia Command General- Lv 60 ( This enemy would not be easy to kill and would require a group of at least 5 )

Also I would like to see more soldiers on ships e because half of the enemies on ships you can board are ground forces which don't belong on a Navy vessel unless they are being transported. So here are my navy suggestions.

Petty Officer lv- 32
Cheif Petty Officer- lv 34
Lieutenant- lv 36
Lt. Commander- lv 39
Commander- lv 41
Captain- lv 43
Rear Admiral ( Lower Half )-lv 45
Rear Admiral ( Upper Half ) lv - 46
Vice Admiral- lv 48
Admiral- lv 50
Fleet Admiral- lv 61 ( These would be EXTREMELY RARE and only have maybe a 5% chance of spawning on ONLY an Expedition fleet ship or an Iron-clad )

Prestige mode:
In Call of Duty there is an option once you reach the maximum lv to prestige and restart at lv 1 losing all your guns, equipment, etc. So I suggest we implement this in POTCO so that Disney won't have to worry about the cap for about another 2 years or so.

Normally in Pirates if you play around 2-3 hours each day it will take you anywheres from 3-6 months to reach the cap so multiply this by say 10 and you get 30-60 months. I suggest once pirates reach lv 50 that they can prestige and go back to lv 1 and lose all there skills, BUT keep there weapons so grinding wouldn't take more questing. And to keep getting exp with no quests they should up the exp from treasure, quests, and make more 2x exp events. Also to go with this would be challenges. Here are my examples.

I am an Armada- Sink 1000 ships ( 2000 exp )
How much for the island- Reach the gold cap ( 750 exp )
Tell me what you think so far and I'll update when I think of more things.

Replace Ironclad warships and Your Cargo and runner ships with:

First, Second and Third Rate Line ships,
For merchents: East Indiaman/Flute/Galleon
For new scout ships: Cutter, Brigantie and a Xebec.

And it would sound like a reasonable suggestion,

I think one of the suggestions I find most important in your list would be multiple ship launching, it would be far easier to help people then.

Nice list mate. I also had a similar thought. There should be apprentices for barbers, jewelers, shipwrights, blacksmiths, gunsmiths, gypsies, tattoo artists, and bar tenders. Depending on who you work for, you get something special... example : special tattoo for tattoo artist apprentices, or a new skill on cutlass or dagger for a blacksmith apprentice.. etc.

My personal thought are that you should be abel to make swords, pick herbs, build your own ship, etc. Of course, pirates preferred to be sailing, but they had to know how to use healing herbs, as well as make their own weapons, and sew! Custom ships would take all parts from all ships available, and make them interchangeable, with only slight differences in size. This would be available to all players, but certain parts would only be for members.

Other MMOs give players the ability to build houses, so why shouldn't we be able to build our own shanty-towns, aye? Perhaps ye could buy a small custom island, and even build player "towns". Owner could decide who could join, and it would have its own government, such as a council. Pirate lords, aye? Perhaps by popular vote, one would be elected pirate king, or perhaps the owner keeps all power? Who knows. But they need these for sure. It would make guild wars feasible.

Awesome ideas everyone!!!
I'm particularly interested in the pirate towns that keeperofthecode described. It is obviously not a new idea, seeing as many a pirate have said it before. I do appreciate that you brought it back up though and I'd like to add to it.

I think, seeing as this is Disney and therefore meant for a younger crowd, maybe the whole government thing might be too complicated. Instead, I say that you get to form your own pirate "shanty" and customize it how you so please. When you join a guild, however, thats when the real fun begins. First, disney'd have to invent some form of guild challenge/ranking system. Each pirate would get to contribute to the fees(universal guild bank, that you can donate small amounts at a time from each member. This will help pay for the island) and challenge requirements(ex: defeat 20,000 gators as a guild in order to earn guild rewards, etc...). After reaching a certain rank (kind of like massive amounts of exp that a whole guild would add to) you should be able to purchase an instanced island. At that point you can choose to move your "shanty" into the new guild island to show off to all of your fellow guildies. In order to move your house, you'd have to pay an individual fine (20,000G maybe? or something around that) and get the permission of either the guildmaster, or the acceptance by 3 or so officers.

I think this would have great potential to not only be simple and easy to understand, but also alot of fun!!

edit:
**in your pirate house you could "build" a poker/blackjack table to invite your friends to play, and even a safe to stash extra ammo.
***In your guild town you can put your guild's money together and buy your own guild blacksmith/gypsey/gunsmith/tailor, etc.... And as you rank up your guild, you can purchase upgrades to make ammo/tonics/clothes cost less money.
