Anyone else having problems just getting in?

Night before last (10/8/07) I was playing just fine. Since last night (10/9/07) I have not been able to even get into the game. I fill out my login information, and the login screen disappears as if going into the game. A few seconds later the login screen reappears with "3 game closed abnormally!" underneath where I enter my password. Of course up pops the lovely Report A Bug screen as well. I find it somewhat ironic that they're telling me the game "closed" when it never even opened!

I don't understand much of what is in the game log section, but I did notice this part which I'm guessing means there's some problem in the connection?

I did get a reply from them kindly informing me of how to adjust my firewall settings (despite the fact that I clearly stated in my Report A Bug submission that NOTHING on my computer had changed). Anyway this is just a bit frustrating, and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced similar or had any advice.

I haven't had any problems getting in. Hmm maybe try the old clearing the cookies and restarting the computer fix?

Rats, I expected to see more players that couldn't get on... I get "Game exited with error 13" and NEVER have seen a bug report from this time...

Just after I decided to give the game a little more time, and posted about joining a crew...

I've not had any problem with getting in the game, it's getting out when lag is bad, that's the problem.

I did notice a small (very small) new file download last night (or was it early this morning?) when I ran the game. It is entirely possible that while nothing has changed on your end, the new file may make it such that you have to alter your firewall settings. Give their suggestion a shot and THEN see if you still have the problem. If you do, then report that to them.

I guess I'm just saying to give them the benefit of the doubt. :h-skull:

OK Update time. I did try again (and again) to no avail. I went ahead and disabled my computers firewall and was able to get in, only to get disconnected over and over again. From the conversations going on around me each time I got back in, I was not the only one. Seems their "updates" have caused a few problems for everyone!

O.K... I bet you were using the same screen res as me... What ever it was, the game wanted to go back to the smallest, and then crashed...

I was ready to give-up... I used Windows "Add & Remove" to get rid of it... Just to see if the old file got messed up (some-how). I re-downloaded/installed and got right in... I even still had the account I was working on- but the screen won't go to the setting I had it at- All the way accross the screen, or tiny tinny...
