Currently at a celebration. Seems the fireworks go off more than once unlike 4th of July. Was there when the GM lighted the bonfire, kinda cool to see that. Here are the screenies:

OH, BTW, WE HAVE MORE ROAST PORK!!!

Another thing, it seems that the host GMs are sending anyone off to jail for pulling out weapons and "practicing." Finally and end to the nonsense.

Got me pork!!! Unfortunately I missed the parade & bonfire lighting on the particular server that I was on-but there are more to come!!!

Got my pork tonics also. Here are some screens of Phillipe and Ben's clothing. I have seen NPC and pirates in pirates online news threads, now the GM recived them. New clothing on the horizon? :12_1_138: Here are my screens of their clothing. More screenshots coming soon!

Ben Lockshot 02-12-2010 03:57 AM

Aye I noticed the new clothes they had on too.

Another thing I noticed just now after I logged in tonight are how often the fireworks are going off. I logged in, they went off. I changed servers, they went off. I launched my ship, they went off. I ported, they went off. I went into a shop and back out, they went off. So, I tried to go back in that shop in the middle of the show then come back out. Well, they started over again from beginning. This all took place within 15 minutes. I'm guessing that Disney fixed the fireworks so that they would start whenever you land on a beach, leave a shop or building, or even launch your ship. This way, we will never miss the show!! Kinda cool.

Seen the firework display myself this mourning. Cool show

StellaInTheSky 02-12-2010 03:39 PM

The fireworks I was seeing weren't even starting with an event, I stood on the beach at PDF and watched 3 consecutive shows because I was pretty sure the server was glitched. LOL

Looks like Independence day and Thanksgiving in one day, how fun...

Well they started knocking people but last time I saw a Gm come to port royal. I wont explain in detail what he did cause to me it seemed like an abuse of power. And founders were saying stuff like we had to learn to respect him. So I'll spare you the details cause I dont want to make people who dont believe me angry. Anyone who wants to know PM and I'll be happy to tell you then.

Ben Lockshot 02-12-2010 09:47 PM

Well I have only see GMs Knock people out for 3 resons. 1. People are not Listining, Caping, Spamming, Etc. Another it its the EITC or Rot and they are just doing a rule playing thing. Or the one Ghost knocked out a EITC bacause again Rule Playing. But I think it is good for GMs doing something for people they think are breaking rules. It is not fare to anyone else. And he has as much power as he wants...... he did help make the game.

Ben has the truth of it mates. The GMs will "knock you out" if you are causing trouble at the events.

During these events the GMs are "Role-Playing" in other words they are the playing thier pirates as if they are actually in the game. If you wish to speak with them then you should also "Role-Play" your pirate accordingly.

Second - Show respect to the GMs. Don't spam chat with the same question over and over. Don't use Caps and shout at them. Don't get into thier faces - stay back a bit and give them some room. (this lets others see them as well). Keep your weapons put away unless the GM specifically asks you to get them out.

Third understand that they are seeing a ton of chat at these events so don't get all bent out of shape if they don't say Hi or answer a question immediatly or at all. Try and catch and answer all the chat at Abassa some time and you might get an idea of what they are going thorugh. They also have a message to get out so they can't answer everyone's chat.

Fourth - The GMs are here for the event this is not a Q&A session. Screaming where is the Kraken and such is a waste of time. You have a much better chance of getting an answer if you role play the question you want to know about but don't expect non event questions to be answered. You can go to Disney's POTCO site and read up on the lore. This will help you phrase questions and get you caught up on what is goin on.

Wrong way - "When do we get the new weapons?"

Right way - "Captain Walter has the Marceline guild uncovered any more news about the weapon caches on Padres yet?" (this has a much better chance of being answered by the GMs)

If you are being disruptive, flashing your weapons around (staff and nades are very annoying) screaming at them in caps or anything else that ruins the event for others you may get sent to jail. It is sad really that some feel the need to do this kind of thing and it messes up the event for the rest of us. Not everyone enjoys GM events and that is fine - just go sailling or questing or something else instead so the rest of us can have fun too.

I hope to see you mates at the GM events this weekend.
