Cave at Kingshead?
 

Just wondering, does the cave at Kingshead still exist? You can't see the opening when you go to the secret dock.

I believe the cave went away about 2 months ago.

What was it there for in the first place?

Nothing! I think there may have been plans for it in the original scheme of things, but it never was of any use. Just glitching into,

The back dock is still there, but the cave is not. It was more than likely intended for something in the future, but nobody really knows.

If you know how to get into the empty Kingshead, you will find the cave has been removed. Of all the times I walked around in it, I never grabbed a screenshot.

Was always hopeful they would add the back entrance completely. Never sure why didn't.

All right, thanks. I recently figured out empty Kingshead, but when I swam to the back, it was just the dock. Oh well . . .

Wait, no cave? That essentially renders the dock useless for meetings... This is bad! The EITC is on to my smuggling operation! (Looks over shoulder)

The cave wasn't of much use, as mentioned before. My guess was that it's intention was to have pirates enter some cave underneath Kingshead, which took them to a hidden place where the EITC stored more of their cargo and such.

I don't think there's any way onto the dock itself, though. Unless you guys find a way, it's pretty much useless now.

You used to be able to get to the dock (on top of it.) from above. Get inside KH, and at a certain part of the wall, over the dock, you did a slip through to 'fall' onto the dock. Once on the dock, you could go into the cave. The dock is still there, but the cave is gone. I don't know if you can still slip through the wall above the dock anymore either.

It is much harder to get ontop of that dock now. The cave is gone - from the outside only a blank hillside is visible. If you get onto it from empty Kingshead, there is a functioning dinghy. If you get onto it from regular Kingshead, there is no dinghy (but you can open map and teleport to Kingshead using the totem that only works when you are on Kingshead and can see enemies.) I just had a pirate on both secret docks, in the last 15 minutes.

There obviously was a second story quest intended, rescuing someone from the Kingshead jail, sneaking out through the sewer, out that cave and launching only a light sloop from that hidden dock (only to be confronted by the man-o-war flag.) What other surprises that had intended originally are not as obvious. But leaving the cave there was instrumental in teaching people the mechanics of the PANDA engine, so it is curious that it was removed.

Yes it is still possible. Actually its easy. There is a place like a bridge about as soon as you get in turn left. Then at the very end post on the right, glitch into it. Then there should be a place where u can walk that is cement. Dance on the very edge then fall onto the dock.

Remember good ol' Jack in the beginning of the second movie? Poor crow. At any rate, he was escaping in a coffin... so maybe....

Ah I remember all the fun times on that dock, and in the glitched version of Kingshead - brb going to watch my dance videos.

Secret docks, dock parties and dock dancing,,,,sigh,,,,I got a lot of piratey fun to catch up on..;P
