Huge Lightning?

Hey, mates. I was just sailing with me guild today and I noticed as I was shooting lightning bolts at ships, some of the bolts of lightning were huge with a hint of green in it, and some were small.

Can someone let me know what is causing this? Thanks.

Theres a chance a skele ship was behind that ship. Disney added that skele ships would have lightning over them so they would look cooler XD. But if there wasn't a skele ship behind it... I have no idea then XP.

Oh its just a glitch mate it happens to me too sometime when I hit it it will take the damige but the lighting will not show up and other times it will. Or it just could depend on where are on where you hit the ship. Or mabye once you hit it in the sail and another on this ships haul. Hope this helps =)

Umm... Calypso you mean? Or maybe my guild's namesake, and her father, Oceanus?

It is not necessarily a glitch, Ben, it could be intentional? I have noticed it too, sometimes they are huge like that, sometimes smaller. It makes shooting them more fun for sure! :D

I too have noticed this. I wasn't paying real close attention, but I think I got the bigger flash of lightning when I had a more direct hit.

I.E., If I hit the canvas of the sail, small lightning bolt. If I hit the mast, big lightning bolt.

Although that would make sense, I can't see Disney taking the time to program that into the game. Such a small detail, and they tend to ignore stuff like that.

I wouldn't say that, i think they are really keen on their small details! Just like they added the graphics of the islands to be seen from the High Seas, is that a small detail or what! :D

I know what causes this. This usually happens after you participate in an Invasion. Because the lightning that Jolly Roger shoots is also greenish, the game causes thunderbolts that you use to turn like that. What causes the change in size, I do not know, however.

If you logged on after an Invasion has ended, however, this will not happen ( Well, it's happened to me ).
