This game still around?
 

Well, it's been awhile. My computer caught on fire back when I disappeared. I finally got myself a new laptop :dancetl6: that should be able to play Pirates without any of the issues I had before (slow, choppy, laggy, graphics all the way down, etc.).

My question is is the game still worth installing on my new laptop? ...and a bigger question: How can I tell if my old character's are still available for play (CrimsonRabbit & Hyzenthlay) 'cause I ain't starting from scratch?

The game is around still around but no new storylines.. The notoriety cap is now 50, the weapons 30 but after that its just boring. and wb!

Dont forget Invasions! :p also, no need to worry. Your characters will still be there, im sure. :)

Hey CR!!!

I would load the game, then try to log in. If you get to the "Pick a Pirate" page, then your account is still active. Albeit in limited access mode.

Log in and see what's going on. Give it a try, before you decide if you want to spend the money to renew your account to full access. If I remember properly, your Dueces Guild member, CR, is somewhere in his mid 20's, so if you come back as a basic member, there won't be much you will be allowed to do other than some minor quests.

There have been some pretty big changes since you left. Islands have been made over, new quests have been added for higher level weapons, clothing, SvS, and a few other things that you have missed out on during your long absence.

Come on any evening and give a shout to all your DW friends. We've missed you.

I guess I'll load it up tonight.

Left when the SvS was being lambasted for being totally lame, glitchey and full of hackorz. Any chance that has changed? I liked that part (the concept, not the lameness).

I'll probably use my secondary character for awhile (Hyzenthlay) and get 'er up to the basic limits before I think of upgrading. Thought they might've lowered their cost by now...guess not


Might see some of you out there. Hopefully with better graphics and gameplay (switching from 512M to 4G and a 2.4Mh processor....can't wait to try)

Jumped on quick last night to see if the thing would run. Never knew how many great graphics I had been missing. Easier to battle/cannon with the game not lagging and skipping around. Sorry I bailed quickly last night after asking for a ship to sail...thanks anyway :piratewheelgo2:

Nothing new, wait how long have you not been on? Anway if you decide to install it, you just have to put your old account username and password to get to your old pirates, if you dont want to start from scratch like you said. If you install it, remember how to activate our old account, if thats what the question ment " How do you know if your old charectorss are available ". If not, Im 100% sure your charectors are still going to be there, I just got a new computer too! Anyway hope enjoy the game if you install it!

Ahoy CrimsonRabbit - Glad you are enjoying the changes. A lot has been done while you were gone to make the game run smoother and better. Hope you get to do one of the invasions soon they are a blast. Yer guild outta be able to get ya caught up on all the new stuff. Have fun and always great to see pirates coming back.
