Davy Jones vs Jolly Roger
 

We all know the main person in POTCO is Jolly Roger. And we also know Davy Jones is in Tormenta. So why does Jones not take over the Carribean. Is it because Jolly Roger is is stronger then Jones?

Jolly Roger IS Davy Jones, for this game so he can't be stronger than himself. Don't any of you get it?? Jolly Roger is "potco's" version of Davy Jones -_-


Sure maybe later they will add the character from the movie because its been requested so much, but that is what Jolly Rogers original purpose was for....

No, Jolly Roger is not Davy Jones. look at their past, they are different. Jolly Roger became skeletelly due to being cursed by Amo Dorsi, the voodoo witchdoctor and Davy Jones became squiddy due to Calypso's betrayel(She started it and that's that!) besides i highly doubt they could have Davy Jones being Jolly Roger or Jolly Roger being Davy Jones even if they wanted to. :p

As for my vote? I vote partnership.. highly unlikely though, but for me? one can always dream.. My two favoritest Pirates characters working together. :p

Well, Davy Jones and Jolly Roger are the Caribbean's most evil fiends who both want to murder all pirates. They must have a parnership. That way, if they're evil minds are combined, that's more pirate lives they can claim.

There have been no signs of Davy Jones, or any part of his story in POTCO that I have seen, other than his 'crew' on Tormenta.
I believe that POTCO is using Jolly Roger as the primary foe/evil in this game. If one was to work the movie story line into it, then Davy Jones is dead (but then again, so is Beckett). <shrug>

Resurrection?

If Calypso truly was loyal to Davy Jones, might be possible she may come back briefly in human form to resurrect him. Look at Barbossa.

But then again, Will wouldn't be in the blacksmithing place on Port Royal. and Elizabeth's been talking about her father at some points. Alas, im afraid the only way to figure all these puzzles out is if the story of POTCO Progresses.. Whenever that will happen.. :p that or we can solve this puzzle.. The pieces are tiny, but the puzzle will be compleated eventually.. and what does Tia Delma's words mean: "From the darkness comes the light"? Will we have to eventually join sides: Jolly Roger or Beckett? Where oh where could those puzzle pieces be..

Alright, my opinion of it is that they're both pretty much equally powerful in their own ways. Thing is, with Jolly, he's pretty much bent on our destruction and will pair up with whoever will help him, including the Navy and EITC. Davy Jones, on the other hand, is charged with a job. As much as he may want to destroy some of us, he's not straight up evil. He'll come after people like Jack, who are indebted to him, but won't kill people just to get some on his crew.

Also, Jolly was mainly invented for the game, while Jones is the movies. They have to be pretty similar in power if they're both going to be the big bad enemy to fight against. One can't be more powerful than the other because, in essence, without the weird backgrounds or anything, they're the same thing.

I have no idea how much of that made sense, but it sounded good in my head.

Is it just me, or am I the only one that thinks the game is going with the storyline the whole way through the game, then they'll do their own thing?

First the pearl, then the Kraken and Davy Jones. It only makes sense to me, but I guess we can wait to see what happens.

But I don't think Davy Jones won't be in the game, considering there's videos of him on the POTCO site.

I think not, Jolly has a BIG crew and he is strong too. But Davy has a higher leveled crew and really he might be even stronger.

I think so, at the beginning (tutorial) did you see him turn Bo into a skelly?

Jolly Roger may me another version of Jones, but Jones is stronger. Davy is called the King of the Seas. He has a gigantic Kraken, an evil serpent, formerly had a mermaid and siren kingdom who have their own giant beasts, owns the Locker, his ship is a God ship, his crew are immortal and so is he, he can teleport from place to place, but cannot step on land. Jolly Roger is a pirate with extremely dark voodoo powers, owns an armada of undead, army of undead and strange creatures, and is powerful in his own ways. As i said, Jones is the king of the seas and is stronger, but the two should not meet or even start a partnership, for that interferes too much in the movie story.
I do feel he will be coming, considering that the Kraken is Disney's big thing. With his crew around, I again don't see why he can't come

Jolly Roger and Davy Jones are awesome enemies. Jolly Roger has voodoo powers that he can do spells with and take out people in seconds, which gives him the ability to hurt people from distance. Davy Jones has more powers, and is immortal if someone tries to hurt him in battle... the only way to kill him is to poke his heart. I vote Davy Jones, he has the strongest people in the game and movies, and Jolly Roger is a nice enemy and all just he is weak compared to Davy Jones!

I say, Jolly Roger is out for revenge. Beckett is in America watching the Super Bowl, and Davy Jones, well, he is working on his vocals for American Idol
