They call this an invasion?! Way too easy!!!

Is it just me or was the padres del fuego invasion that we had tonight, totally messed up? Like it was way to easy! the brigades had like, what, two enemies each? There was like only one stump in one brigade! This was crazy! And we didnt even get to fight Jolly Roger! And we had to wait 734392 minutes to even let it end and all that time we were just sitting there with our staffs waiting for enemies to come fight! Plus I only got 800 notoriety bonus! What is up with this? Disney messed up on this invasion!
What do you think?

This is what happens when:

A) they don't give things adequate time on Test.
B) they don't listen to the Testers.
C) they rush things that aren't ready out on Open because everyone who isn't on Test does nothing but whine.

The PDF invasions were NOWHERE near ready for open!

Midhav 01-15-2010 04:35 AM

nah they just have a few glitches lol.

Captain Grizzly 01-15-2010 05:27 AM

Just finished one on live, it played all the way though, no glitch this time. I will say it was easier then I expected, lasted all of about 10 or 15 minutes but it was a small crew and very spread out so I'm sure it was adjusted for that. All in all I like this invasion better then the other 2 so far. I think the layout of Padres and the locations where the brigades spawn and are a better fit for larger crews. Won't know for sure until I can actually play it in a larger crew.

AGREED!!!!!!!!!!!

Just posted a little note in another thread about the experiences of mates and me during tonights invasions ... wow were they messed up!

PS: and yes, one of them was just endless waves of two enemies at a time ... was "chairman of the bored" til Piper started making me laugh.

And if they delayed the invasions another week - everyone would whine it takes too long.

Yes, one invasion did glitch - the next one I was in was fine. And during the 'trickle invasion' i enjoyed the free xp points while sitting on the beach.

Agree with ya Grizz. First invasion around 8 cst had an issue. Was involved in 3 more after that and all went to completion.

Wondering if the ones that did were also glitchy for you, as mates and i left a badly glitched invasion during the first go-round and found all of them we checked out glitched in some way, and it happened again during second invasion on several servers that i know of, including the "endless waves" of enemies, this time a lot of them at once, lasting an hour on one of them, even though that one eventually "went to completion" as well.

Sure wish i had seen one of the good ones ... lucky folks that did probably enjoyed them quite a bit more than those of us who did not.

Saw no glitches in the 3 late ones. Everything seemed to go just fine. Even remember taking on stumps in the last one. Each of the 3 probably lasted 15 to 20 minutes. For me, once an invasion starts, I loose track of time and afterwards is when I know how long it lasted. Can't saw for sure, but almost seems like Disney put a fix in after the early one.

Hmmm. Saw nary a stump in any of the ones i visited or fought in. Odd. Wonder why it was good for a few folks here and so bad for so many folks i know?

I have to say I am one of the multitude who does not have test. However, I would FAR prefer if D would fully test things before they are released on open. Yes, it can get very quiet without you guys when there is new stuff on test. I'd still rather see a finished product than a half finished mess that will take days, weeks, months to properly sort out. That time D spends fixing things that have been released too early is time they could be putting into further chapters. An that's my two cents from a non tester!

Could not agree more. I am an only open pirate and I would much rather have the nice full out finished project, instead of giving us bad, glitchy invasions. It would be much easier for all of us and Disney if they would make sure everything is going smoothy before they send it out to the open!

Ah, perhaps this is has something to do with the differences? I was referring to the invasions on open. I am not a tester either.

Did a invasion on PDF by myself today. That is until a level 20 something pirate appeared. It seemed to have been groomed to the pirate (s) that defended. I did have to do alot of map checking since I am not yet certain of the barricades. I just looked at the map & ran from barricade to barricade & defeated enemies. Course then JR came ashore. He knocked me out 3 times before destroying the town. But, he is a level ??, far above me. The invasion that I did later last night with others seemed to go quite well, though. The one thing that I have noticed is that the enemies do appear stronger than on PR & Tuga when there is a multitude of pirates to defend. I am on test, but did not get the opportunity to share in a PDF invasion on that site. So this is all new to this pirate also.
