Is Ship Invincibility Back?
 

In some ways I hope this is one of those one time glitches, but at the same time i hope it is back. I decided to launch my War Frigate (if ship type matters) and I had very low hull that was somewhere from 1-15 hull points off the coast of PdF, and staying near the coast I shot down a Storm reaper, like 3 Dreadnaughts an ogre or two and a Man o' War, without them even noticing me. But all of the fun ended when I told a friend to TP. we sailed off to kill Death Omens Black Harbingers and those types of ships, and a death omen shot us and we sunk. Has anyone else expirienced this recently.

P.S. This was on Thursday the 7th or somethin like that

I've had that before. Not moving once I have teleported to my ship and proceeding to shoot down loads that are close by without any return fire. Maybe it's a little like svs where you have a 'shield' for a minute of 2 upon launch (maybe longer in your case idk lol) and in that time ships 'ignore' you??

I've also experienced this. It happens off the shore of other islands, but PDF is the one that quite a few enemies seem to ignore you. Maybe they are ported to get ammo & repairs...lolz I did send a report to Disney.

Maybe I am stating the obvious but if you launch your ship but do not take the wheel the NPC ships will never shoot at you. You can use yer cannon all you want. You are not invincible, it's just that the enemy ships never go agro on you.

w8 than why doesn't everyone do it to level cannon? my friends are like, "drive the boat! i needa level cannon"?

i think its just that u sinked the ships befor they have a chance to attack. but whatever it was i dont thinkt its possible anymore because they changed the respawn by padres

i had this happen before. it was when i used my war frigate. i sunk all the ships in the area around Padres and it filled up my cargo. i went to port then got back on the same ship and it happened again. i kept doing this till i maxed my gold. it was pretty sweet.

Some time ago, I tested this "feature," I got my ship, and sunk a Navy Man-O-War without taking my ship's wheel. I was going for another ship like this until a frien or guild mate of mine teleported to me and was going for my ship's wheel. It seems that launching a ship without grabbing the wheel makes it like no one is shooting the enemy and there aresomeone firing on it.

It's been that way like 4ever I think as long as I could remember at least since Summer 2008, idk about b4 coz I wasnt playing this game then lol. If u launch & no body every grabs the wheel, none of the ships will notice u. Yea u could lvl cannons that way but problem is that not many ships spawn near PDF, & b/c they ignore u, they sail their preset course & dont sail towards u so its kinda like svs where some ships sail away from u & u gotta chase it down which takes more time w get rep per ship coz u would get rep faster shooting at ships coming towards u.

A couple of notes: your ship will take damage if it is in the line of fire of an enemy ship; invasion fleets will fire at you once you fire your cannon regardless if you have taken the wheel.

There was a glitch on vachira that your ship is invincible. but enemies would shoot at you and you wont lose health that glitch was fixed though
